Gorgeous Beaches and Beautiful Homes of the North Shore
Away from the hustle and bustle of town lies the North Shore of Oahu. Comprised of timeless surfer-towns, the North Shore feels very separate from the rest of urban Oahu. World famous for the big waves and surf contest in the winters, the beaches of the North Shore are some of the most impressive and beautiful on the island. Calm and warm in the summers, many flock to Waimea Bay, Pipeline, and Sunset Beach, among others. With a laidback hippie vibe, there are no hotels among the small towns of the North Shore. Filled with cute shops, local eats, and a number of beautiful beaches for swimming, surfing, and snorkeling, the North Shore has its own local magic. The snorkeling at Pupukea beach is some of the best on Oahu. Across from Waimea Beach Park lies Waimea Falls Park, with paved trails and swimming at the waterfall swimming hole.
Heading towards the North Shore coming from downtown, the drive through the pineapple fields with the views of the ocean are breathtaking. At the end of the scenic drive lies Historic Haleiwa, a small town filled with restaurants, shopping, boutiques, and art galleries. After a morning in the sun at Waimea, grab lunch at Cholo’s then wander the shops to truly get a feel for the North Shore. Locals and tourists alike make a day trip to the North Shore to enjoy the beaches, food, shops, and old fashioned aloha.
Living in Waialua or Haleiwa has the appeal of living on the North Shore without the traffic or bustle of the homes in Waimea or Sunset. For those looking for country living and space, homes up the hill in Pupukea have large lots, often an acre or more, with great tradewinds, a slightly cooler temperature, fruit trees, and hiking readily available.
Homes on the North Shore are some of the most desired on the island. With beach front homes on the gorgeous wide, golden beaches looking out over the deep blue waters, upscale developments in in the hills of Pupukea, or even townhomes in Kuilima, a part of Turtle Bay, there are a variety of homes to suit your vacation needs.
