Oct 01, 2024 As we walk into this cute little house it was just amazing from the front gate to the door you’re welcome by flowers and plants then you open the door and there it is a view of the Pacific Ocean the sound of the waves braking will put you right to sleep the in side is just as cool as the location I have traveled all over the world and even have a home in the Bahamas on the water but this place is very special if you come to Kona and do not stay here you will miss out on the best part of your trip Mike Murphy

Feb 06, 2024 Gather's place is truly spectacular. Nothing can beat the view! Right on the beach and private! We get to see surfers all day, and beautiful sunsets top the view. The place was perfectly sized for our family of 3 and the location was perfect as well. Walkable to beaches and a short drive from many restaurants and shops at Kona. Jul 03, 2023 We had a wonderful stay!! The sound of the ocean and views of the waves and sunset were so peaceful. There is also a beach right near the house that is walkable and open to the public! As it states in the listing, there is no AC, and it does get rather hot inside, but with all the fans, it airs out some. We highly recommend! Carly Tunnell

Another beach nearby was busy with snorkelers and surfers who were fun to watch from the lanai. The beach just down the way toward the village was fun for body surfing. And a quick drive into the village allows for lovely dinners every night. The Cottage also had plenty of goodies necessary for beach fun, snorkel gear and beach chairs. Location was amazing, down the street from a beach with great snorkeling, we were able to use the gear from the house and walk there, I went twice! A 10-15 minute drive into town. Easy marked spot for parking our rental car. The view was spectacular with great sunsets off the porch. Loved watching the surfers every day. Kitchen very well stocked, definitely the best I’ve seen. The waves break right on the rocks below the house and can be a little loud since you have to leave the window open for air, but the view is worth it! It was a clean and beautiful house, we loved it and would recommend! Storm Miller

Brew a delicious cup of Kona coffee and head outside to the lanai where you can spot whales (when in season) and dolphins in the ocean just beyond.
When you're ready for a peaceful night of rest, the primary bedroom provides an inviting retreat. Sleep with the windows open in this cozy ocean view room, where the sounds of the waves will lull you into a relaxing sleep. The primary bedroom is furnished with a plush California King bed, a ceiling fan, split system air conditioning (installed 2023) and a large flatscreen TV. Both the Hulihee Palace and the Mokuaikaua Church are located on Ali'i Drive. King Kamehameha I spent his last years living near the current site of what is now the King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel, until his passing in 1819. The Ahu'ena Heiau, located on the grounds of the hotel, is a reconstructed temple rebuilt by the late king and is on the register of National Historic Landmarks.
