Really incredible! Had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook our thanksgiving feast. Would go again Robert

Aug 01, 2023 Best of La Jolla Lucky for us the owners of this house decided to put it on Airbnb rather than sell it. I can't imagine how many millions of dollars it's worth. It's in the hills of La Jolla and the view of the ocean is absolutely huge and magical. Bring your best binoculars. The entire house is built around maximizing the view with gigantic windows and such. Every bedroom is unique, we especially loved the bedroom in a large and fully stocked library, although the master bedroom was quite ornate and fun as well. It has one of those showers with 6 heads in it. ahhhhh... It was in a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. No noise at all. And best of all, you're right there in La Jolla, kind of a Laguna Beach on steroids with a focus on fitness instead of art. Loved, loved, loved it! Kevin

Aug 18, 2016 Location and Views Spectacular Rented home for 3 nights to celebrate a 40th birthday party. 5 couples stayed in the home. Location and views are spectacular, with ocean views from virtually every room in the house. Rental management company was helpful in pre-stocking the kitchen with groceries, as well as recommending a personal chef to hire during our stay and massage therapists to provide in-home services. While the homes decor is a bit dated, the beds and linens used were very, very good. While the kitchen is a bit small, it is very well appointed and has everything you need to prepare large meals. It's important to note that two of the five bedrooms are somewhat open with the master bedroom being an open loft over-hanging another bedroom/gym below. Since our group consisted of close friends, this open lay-out did not bother us. Only complaint I have is in respect to the size of the house. It is listed as nearly 6,000 square feet, yet tax records confirm it is just under 5,000 square feet. Overall, this is a wonderful home and highly recommended for families. Ken R

As you pass the sweeping driveway to the stunning entrance of Sunset Villa I, you will be greeted by an open floor plan designed for both entertainment and family time. The living room has a perfect retreat with a copper fireplace, flat panel television, and a breathtaking panoramic view. The elevated formal dining area creates a distinct space without feeling closed off from the great room. The gourmet kitchen has top-of-the-line appliances, including double ovens and a gas cooktop with a unique copper vent. The breakfast nook, wet bar, and wine fridge add to the luxury of the kitchen, while granite counter surfaces perfectly complement the natural stone flooring used throughout the villa. The library and artist's studio provide additional spaces for relaxation and creativity.
Sunset Villa I accommodates up to ten guests with four luxurious bedrooms, including three King beds and two Queen beds. The loft-style primary suite is an oasis with a private patio, King bed and amazing ocean views. The open ensuite bathroom has double sinks, a vanity chair, a jetted tub, a separate shower and a cozy fireplace. The poolside suite open below the primary suite has a Kind bed, ensuite bathroom and doubles as a home gym boasting an assortment of exercise equipment perfectly arranged to take advantage of all the stunning ocean views. Note this is a common area with sleeping arrangements. The middle floor has a large King suite with ensuite bathroom, a custom Cherry wood curved desk that fits perfectly in the tall curved window, reading area and patio access. This floor also has two Queen bedrooms, each with patio access and a shared bathroom. Please note due to the huge curved windows, expansive views and open floorplan, there are no blackout curtains in this home.
Sunset Villa I offers an unforgettable experience with its luxurious indoor living spaces, breathtaking outdoor patios, and pool area. The beautiful mosaic-tiled terrace boasts a set of comfortable chaise lounges by the pool and hot tub, offering a perfect spot for guests to unwind and soak up the famous California sun. Pool heating available at an additional fee, please inquire. Alfresco dining awaits on the upper patio, complete with a top-of-the-line barbecue and dining set overlooking the Pacific, making it an idyllic location for enjoying meals with family and friends.
This exquisite villa's prime location is great for its magnificent views and proximity to the charming town of La Jolla. Located less than two miles away, La Jolla offers high-end shops, fabulous restaurants, spas, and family-friendly beaches. Furthermore, this picturesque villa is conveniently situated within 15 miles of San Diego's top attractions, such as the Gaslamp Quarter, San Diego Zoo, Mission Beach, and Harbor Island, providing endless possibilities for exploration and adventure.
Our full-service concierge team is available to handle every detail, from pre-arrival groceries and airport transfers to custom experiences.
This property is intended for use by responsible adults and their families. There is a zero tolerance policy for parties, excessive noise and events. This home is equipped with noise monitoring systems and the noise ordinance will be strictly enforced.
No outside noise after 10pm, otherwise the police will be called and the violation will result in immediate eviction and $1,000.00 fine.
Please be aware every reservation check in must be met in person with a greeter from the property management company, self-check ins are not allowed. Our cut off for arrivals to check in is 8:00 p.m. after which a greeter will be available to meet at the property for access starting at 8:00 a.m. the following day. ID verification showing that the person checking in is the same as the credit card used on the reservation is mandatory. Failure to provide ID verification as requested will result in the cancellation of the reservation.
