Feb 16, 2025 A very clean and pretty property. It's in close proximity to many excursions, a downtown shopping area with restaurants and a golf course. Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need including a coffee maker that takes pods or beans.Pool is heated and hot tub attached so temperature is always rightAny inquiries were always responded to in a timely manner and all of ours were answered or requests were granted. Super flexible! Easy check in. Great place to stay, would come back for sure Heath Vignes

Feb 28, 2024 We walked in and were impressed with the decor and cleanliness of the house. All of the furnishes were beautiful and we loved the pool and large lanai. We had wonderfully chill mornings swimming in the pool and relaxing on the Lanai. The hot tub was so relaxing and nice after a full day of activities. Candy Mersdorf

We really enjoyed the private pool and hot tub and the beautiful outdoor space. It was very convenient with private parking + close to downtown and captain cook. Jul 08, 2023 There was a total of 6 adults. The entire home was extremely clean, beautiful inside and out and even came with snorkeling gear, bikes etc. We had everything we needed. We stayed 8 days total. Would definitely rent from this company again. The pool is perfect. Steven Romero

Jun 20, 2023 Beautiful home, fantastic landscaping, quiet neighborhood. The property management was very responsive to my questions and concerns. For example, the owners use a Nest thermostat which originally had a 70-78 range, with the home heating up to 78 when we were out and taking quite a while to cool down again to a comfortable range for us. I texted property management and they contacted the owner the next morning, and the range was reset to 70-75. It made a tremendous difference. (By the way, 70 was fine with the ceiling fans in the unit. I slept very comfortably!) The home was a spacious, comfortable place for our family of 3. The main bathroom in particular was beautiful! We cooked breakfast and dinner every day, and the kitchen was fully equipped. The provided welcome kit of paper towels, coffee, tp, etc was easily enough to accommodate a week long vacation, and the check out requirements were minimal. Plus we loooved the pool, jacuzzi, and lanai furniture! Allyson White

Aug 17, 2022 Cool getaway spot on the Big Island We had a very nice and comfortable stay here. The house itself was clean and ready for us and had all the amenities we could've wanted. It's also extremely close to the location of some recreational boating/snorkeling tours, which we took advantage of. However there were some issues with the pool. The auto-vacuum had been pulled out prior to our arrival and there was what looked like plastic debris in both the pool and hot tub. I was able to contact the property manager, who had the pool folks out the next day. They were able to clean up maybe 75% of the debris aside from what I was able to do myself by reinserting the auto-vacuum and directing it towards problem spots. This is a great property and I'd probably stay here again, however for the cost of the stay I would expect the pool to be clean and ready on check-in. Lauren B

The spa-like primary bath provides a soaking tub, a separate walk-in shower, and dual vanities.
Kona Blue Vacations Holua Kai also comes equipped with a barbecue grill for casual lunches or dinners at home. On the covered lanai by the pool, enjoy a leisurely open-air meal or settle into the soft outdoor sofa as palm trees gently sway nearby. When it's time to explore, guests will find two kayaks, two paddleboards, surfboard, two bicycles, beach towels, beach chairs, snorkeling gear, a cooler, an umbrella, boogie boards, and sand toys waiting. In addition, there are assorted isometric bands, free weights, and a foam roller to ease your muscles after a busy day hiking and swimming. For families, there are Disney classic movies and an assortment of board games and books.
This Kona Coast luxury vacation home allows easy access to gorgeous Big Island beaches such as Keahou Bay, White Sands, Kua Bay, and Makalawena. Less than two miles away, Keauhou Shopping Center offers restaurants, shops, and even a movie theater. Endless shopping and dining possibilities are also available in nearby Kona Town, as are opportunities for snorkeling/diving, swimming with manta rays, hiking, and boat tours.
Please note that a mandatory mid-stay cleaning fee of $235 applies to all stays of 14 days or longer.
Please note that 7 private tennis and 20 pickleball courts are available for guest use for an additional fee. Of those facilities, 5 tennis courts and 8 pickleball courts have lights. Court Rentals are $25/hour per court for non-members. If you'd like to become a member of the Holua Kai community, the court rental fee will be waived. To book a private tennis or pickleball court, guests may call or text Holua Kai's shop phone, and let them know of the day and time you are planning to play. A member of Holua Kai's community team will let you know which court(s) are available.
Drop-in, Open Pickleball Play Schedule @ Holua Racquet and Paddle: Every drop in play is open to members and non-members alike. Non-members pay $10/person for each open play they join. For example, if you play in the 8 AM open play and pay $10/person, an additional $10/person for the afternoon play will apply. However, the Holua Kai community offers weekly, monthly, and more membership rates. If interested, please contact Holua Kai's shop for applicable rates.
