  • Jan 10, 2025 This place is fantastic with gorgeous views and a well-equipped home. I would recommend to anyone and there is a good amount of room in the home. The 3 bathrooms are extremely convenient and the kitchen is easy to use. The outdoor living area makes a great extension to the home and we spent a ton of time outside.   • Nov 24, 2024 We had a very enjoyable stay here. The views were amazing and you could hear the ocean. The neighborhood was immaculate and very quiet. The gather group reached out to us prior to the trip to make excursion plans. We opted for the in home massage that was totally worth it ! We also saw the manta Rey excursion every night from our lanai. We ended up doing it and it was breathtaking! The home slept six adults comfortably. Three full baths was an added plus! We had to drive to town but it was a short distance. Grocery store just a five minute drive. Walkable to the harbor and outrigger resort. Sunsets at night from master balcony were fabulous! The kitchen was spacious and fun to cook in. Had everything we needed except spices for cooking but had all kinds of pots and pans to cook and bake. Plenty of glasses and dishes. Even a barbecue. We enjoyed our meals at the beautiful table on the lanai. Would definitely return Mike Rick

  • Jul 21, 2024 Our family of 9 (6 adults, 3 kids, including a toddler) had an amazing stay at this house! We loved the view and watched the perfect sunset every day on the lanai. The kids especially loved the pool! The house is in a private residence area and about a 15 min drive from the main Kona happenings. Everything from the rooms to kitchen to outdoor spaces was beautiful, clean, roomy, and comfortable. Communication with the host company was super easy, and we were able to get a late checkout since we had an evening flight, which was nice. I would highly recommend this house! Elaine Williamson

  • Nov 10, 2023 This place had an amazing view of ocean and sunset. The ocean is much closer than photos and we enjoy our coffee every morning by sitting on outside patio watching the ocean. Every room is so clean and spotless! I meant everything is so nice and clean. Our kids enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi after the swimming. The pool is perfect for kids to play and swim. Yes, it is not cheap to stay here but we would definitely like to come back again. Hana Lehocky

  • Jul 21, 2023 We had a wonderful stay at Big Island in this home! The home was perfect for our stay. Great location with great views of the ocean and majestic sunsets. This home is beautiful! It's very clean, spacious and super comfortable for our family. The owner/host thought of everything needed for our stay. The kitchen was well-stocked with all the kitchen utensils that you could need. The bedrooms had very comfortable beds and extra sheets and blankets. They provided plenty of towels for us to use and also provided beach towels. There were also beach toys, boogie boards, beach chairs and umbrella. The pool was so fun for the kids! And, the lanai was perfect for watching the kids swim and waiting for the sunset. It was the perfect home for us while exploring the Big Island! And, the host was awesome! They were very responsive to any needs that we had. We had a small issue, but they responded in a very timely manner and were great to work with. Mahalo for sharing your home with us! Jeff McKee

  • Jan 22, 2023 We stayed 4 nights in January. Overall this was a 10/10 stay. The house itself is spacious and feels brand new. It was extremely well kept and clean. It seems the cleaning fee actually seems to be going to some purpose! All the appliances and bathrooms worked perfectly. There was central AC which was really luxurious. The house had enough space for 7 adults and 3 children in our group. It definitely felt like we were staying at a professional property as opposed to someone's residence. The pool and lanai are what put this house over the top. If you have kids, I cannot overstate the convenience of having your own pool. It provided endless enjoyment in between excursions on the island. The pool water itself was super clean and maintained. With a big group it was easier to cook a lot of meals than find space in restaurants, and the cooks in our group loved the high-end kitchen. I feel the price we paid was a good value for our large group, given the memories made here! Tim Ramos

Holua Kai #26 by Gather is a two-story, plantation-style home specifically designed to seamlessly connect indoor and outdoor spaces thanks to its large open floor plan. Its 2,685 square foot layout features 3 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms with comfortable air conditioning and plenty of beautiful, Hawaiian natural light throughout.

This Big Island vacation home is adjacent to the 2nd hole green on the lush Kona Country Club’s Makai Golf Course, making it the ideal location for any golf enthusiast. In the mornings, you can enjoy views of early morning tee times and the sparkling Pacific from your oversized, covered lanai. In the evenings, you can squeeze in a relaxing dip in your infinity edge, in-ground swimming pool, and spa before a nightcap with your guests. Imagine the evenings you’ll spend here where it’s just you and your loved ones with nothing to do but enjoy one another's company and breathe in the salty, tropical air.

The amenities inside Holua Kai #26 are just as impressive as the ones outside the home. The spacious kitchen island includes custom Bordeaux Dream Granite slab countertops and glass backsplash, a GE Pro stainless steel appliance package, under-cabinet LED lighting, and solid wood cabinetry with soft-close drawers and doors. There’s also a wine fridge perfect for those evenings when you’re looking to wind down in your evenings with a crisp glass of chilled Chardonnay.

This luxury vacation rental is able to accommodate up to 10 guests with additional sleeping spaces located in the home office and upstairs living area. The Primary Suite comes complete with a large, free-standing soaking tub, walk-in shower, split vanities all accented by solid granite countertops, and its own private lanai. With carefully selected furnishings and touches from a professional decorator, you’ll find that Holua Kai #26 will have everything you might need to make this space feel like your Hawaiian home away from home.

Please note that 7 private tennis and 20 pickleball courts are available for guest use for an additional fee. Of those facilities, 5 tennis courts and 8 pickleball courts have lights. Court Rentals are $25/hour per court for non-members. If you'd like to become a member of the Holua Kai community, the court rental fee will be waived. To book a private tennis or pickleball court, guests may call or text Holua Kai's shop phone, and let them know of the day and time you are planning to play. A member of Holua Kai's community team will let you know which court(s) are available.

Drop-in, Open Pickleball Play Schedule @ Holua Racquet and Paddle: Every drop-in play is open to members and non-members alike. Non-members pay $10/person for each open play they join. For example, if you play in the 8 AM open play and pay $10/person, an additional $10/person for the afternoon play will apply. However, the Holua Kai community offers weekly, monthly, and more membership rates. If interested, please contact Holua Kai's shop for applicable rates.

Jul 21, 2023 We had a wonderful stay at Big Island in this home! The home was perfect for our stay. Great location with great views of the ocean and majestic sunsets. This home is beautiful! It's very clean, spacious and super comfortable for our family. The owner/host thought of everything needed for our stay. The kitchen was well-stocked with all the kitchen utensils that you could need. The bedrooms had very comfortable beds and extra sheets and blankets. They provided plenty of towels for us to use and also provided beach towels. There were also beach toys, boogie boards, beach chairs and umbrella. The pool was so fun for the kids! And, the lanai was perfect for watching the kids swim and waiting for the sunset. It was the perfect home for us while exploring the Big Island! And, the host was awesome! They were very responsive to any needs that we had. We had a small issue, but they responded in a very timely manner and were great to work with. Mahalo for sharing your home with us! Jeff McKee

We will treasure the memories of the brilliant sunsets that we enjoyed while luxuriating in the pool and the brilliant starry nights seen from the hot tub. The home is very spacious, clean and comes equipped with many extra amenities including beach chairs and picnic coolers. Our hosts were very responsive to our communications and ensured our stay was seamless. They were kind enough to allow for a late checkout. Jan 22, 2023 We stayed 4 nights in January. Overall this was a 10/10 stay. The house itself is spacious and feels brand new. It was extremely well kept and clean. It seems the cleaning fee actually seems to be going to some purpose! All the appliances and bathrooms worked perfectly. There was central AC which was really luxurious. The house had enough space for 7 adults and 3 children in our group. It definitely felt like we were staying at a professional property as opposed to someone's residence. The pool and lanai are what put this house over the top. If you have kids, I cannot overstate the convenience of having your own pool. It provided endless enjoyment in between excursions on the island. The pool water itself was super clean and maintained. With a big group it was easier to cook a lot of meals than find space in restaurants, and the cooks in our group loved the high-end kitchen. I feel the price we paid was a good value for our large group, given the memories made here! Tim Ramos

It was our first visit to the Big Island and definitely won’t be our last. We loved this property and would definitely book this again for future trips. Michael K
