Travel back in time to discover the pleasantries of traditional old Hawaii, while basking in all modern amenities here at Hale Joli, a tranquil 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom ranch home built in the 1960s before Hawaii acquired statehood, adorned with single wall construction built of beautiful redwood & cedar for a rich, earthly ambience to a peaceful and private Hawaiian vacation.

Located just 10 minutes from the Big Island’s downtown urban hub of Kailua-Kona, this luxury home features fresh tropical greenery and fruit trees surrounding the property, a finely curated back patio, a spacious lawn, and immaculate ocean views at 1,000 ft of elevation out to the sparkling waves of the western coast of the island, perfect for viewing the humpback whale migration from November through April. Enter Hale Joli via the long private driveway and the inviting front entrance into the great room, an open-concept common area that comprises the living, dining and kitchen areas in a spacious A-frame design, equipped with high ceilings, several ceiling fans and with full-walled sliding door access to both the front and back patios to let in ample natural light as well as the refreshing trade winds. Relax in the living area on the couch or armchairs and enjoy the large flatscreen television for a night of entertainment, or revel in the grandeur of the stellar seaside views beyond.

Enjoy cooking up delicious Hawaiian meals in the grand kitchen, equipped with all stainless steel appliances, including a wine fridge, and a dining table that seats up to 8 guests. Or take your meals out to the picturesque covered lanai (patio) and be seated at the outdoor table that accommodates 6. Grill up a feast on the outdoor barbecue grill station and countertop, and spend your afternoons playing games or chilling out in the large grass field overlooking the ocean, and stroll down in the evening to the festive fire pit to witness the breathtaking colors of the Hawaiin sunset, and lounge in its adirondack recliners until the stars come out to light up the night sky.

All bedrooms, featuring only exterior access via a covered pathway via sliding glass doors, are equipped with ceiling fans and high-vaulted ceilings for fresh airflow, as well as incredible ocean views and access to the back lanai. The spacious primary bedroom comes with a comfortable king bed and a private ensuite with a large vanity and a shower/tub combo. Guest bedroom 2 has a king bed and access to the shared guest bathroom with a shower/tub combo. Guest bedroom 3 is outfitted with 2 queen beds and shares access to the guest bathroom. There is an additional half-bath for guest use, as well a laundry room with an in-unit washer and dryer.
