May 24, 2025 Loved this home and highly recommend it!! Pictures are accurate and can’t really capture the beauty of the view and outdoor lanai area! Very comfortable home. AC in bedrooms worked well at night. Kitchen is well equipped for cooking meals. Grill is hard-lined, so no worry about propane level. Plenty of dishes and serving platters/bowls. Pool and hot tub (not jetted, but nice and warm) stay very clean with whatever filter system they use. Opening up all of the doors on all sides when you’re home is lovely! Outdoor dining table is perfect for meals during sunset. Path in front of home to Queen’s Bath (small beach) is easy and a great place for a nice swim (watch out for urchins!). Very convenient to airport, Costco, Target, groceries, restaurants/shops on Ali’i Drive. Washer/dryer worked really well. Great pool towels and flat, sand-free beach towels provided. Big closet with beach/pool equipment/toys left by previous guests (we contributed, too!). Check closet before renting any equipment. I was worried that pond/fountain would mean more bugs, but that wasn’t a problem at all. Sound of water flowing over rocks and into pond is so relaxing. We felt very safe in the gated neighborhood. Having a code (rather than keys) for all of the doors was very convenient. Communication with management about any questions we had during our stay was very efficient and thorough. Tanya R

Mar 14, 2025 We all would stay here again! Such a beautiful house and property with fantastic sunset views. We saw whales spouting and some playful dolphins. Short walk to a nice sandy beach for our two-year-old. Pickleball was in walking distance as well as many shops and restaurants. We were nervous about the gated community aspect, but it was super easy and not an issue. The indoor space was huge and nicely appointed. The house worked well for our 8 adults and one child. The loft bedroom was up a winding stairway and proved to be not so difficult for bathroom runs in the night using the half bath restroom on the first floor. Pretty views from the loft too. We ran into an issue with the hot tub. The property manager was very responsive and kind about it and gave us a discount for the inconvenience. The house is close to both the airport in Kona and Costco. The kitchen was great for cooking and was definitely the heart of the home along with the stunning outdoor space. Cathy K

Feb 12, 2025 Very nice place and well equipped. As advertised. Hot tub didn’t work but everything else was in working order and very enjoyable. I would rent this place again for sure and tell anyone else looking at it to “ just do it”! Royce A

Nov 16, 2024 This place was outstanding! It looked just like the pictures, was very peaceful, had a great view of the ocean and a lovely private pool and hot tub. My family enjoyed viewing the tide pools directly in front of the house and visiting the lagoon which was just a short jaunt down the shoreline. May 27, 2024 This house was great! The location is unbeatable. Easy to access from the airport and town of Kona. The community is nice, and feels safe. The walk to the lagoon/beach is easy, and very kid-friendly. Our kids loved the pool, we enjoyed the patio while watching the waves and dolphins! The house had everything we needed, and management was easy to communicate with. If we ever get a chance to make it back to The Big Island, we will plan to stay here again! Lisa Biondolillo

May 14, 2023 Nothing short of amazing! The location, the house were unmatched. The whole house opened up so there was a constant breeze rolling through. The pool, hot-tub were in great condition. Mar 12, 2023 House was in a beautiful oceanfront location with beautiful lava rock shoreline and a small beach area nearby. Near downtown Kailua Kona and plenty of restaurants, etc. Rules about AC/wearing shoes may seem unreasonable but weren't difficult, left sandals at door. Living area was best left open. Management was very responsive when WiFi not functional, etc. Would definitely recommend. Scott Fleischauer

This Big Island vacation rental resides in the exclusive Kona Bay Estates with proximity to Kona village, where you’ll find extensive fine dining, shopping, and Hawaiian activities to fill your vacation days with cherished memories. In addition to your private pool, there’s a swimming lagoon and beautiful white sand beach within the Kona Bay Estates gated community. This lagoon is one of the few places on the Kona Coast which is usable all year round, due to its shallow warm water.
When you first enter the property, you’ll be greeted by the large, wrap-around driveway and Hawaiian Poi Pounder fountain. Blue Water has numerous decorative touches and features inspired by the unique history of the island, which offers its guests a glimpse into its special past. The main living area has numerous doors that welcome the outdoor sounds and scents of the tropical flora, along with all the cooling tradewinds. The living room and kitchen area are spacious and ideal for entertaining guests, with a large curved granite bar, Koa media center, and dining area for all your guests. With the doors wide open throughout the day, your living area seems to expand right to the dazzling Pacific.
From your outdoor lanai, you can take in breathtaking sunsets each night from your lounge chairs or beautiful pool and spa area. Blue Water sits on over half an acre of tropical landscaping, with recent upgrades made to the property to ensure the most unique vacation home experience. The owner also recently added AC in all the bedrooms, updated many of the furnishings, and invested in new sliding doors to ensure the open-air feeling of the main floor living area is easy to access. Most guests have the doors open to take advantage of the ocean breezes, therefore the AC thermostat is preset to shut off at 10:30 am and 2:30 pm during the day. It operates continuously at night, with a minimum temperature of 74 degrees to ensure maximum comfort for you and your guests.
The primary bedroom suite is privately situated on the second level with incredible ocean views. It features a King-size canopy bed, private lanai, etched glass walk-in shower, jetted tub, and large walk-in closet. There’s a separate media lounge area within the primary suite, which provides additional sleeping accommodations.
Leading from the media room, there’s a set of spiral stairs that leads to an observation room with Twin-size beds. The observation room has 360-degree windows for mesmerizing views of the ocean and mountains. If you have older children, this would be the perfect space for them to hang out. The other 2 suites reside on the first and second levels, with a King-size bed and a Queen-size canopy bed and private bath within the rooms respectively.
As part of your reservation, you’ll have exclusive access to concierge services. Some of the service options include daily maid service, airport pick-up, lei greeting, private whale watching and snorkeling tours, and private chefs.
