  • Jun 12, 2023 Perfect place for rest and relaxation! First, I really like the pre-trip communication regarding the condo. It was very reassuring to know that you could reach someone at any time for assistance. We were very happy with the condo location, appearance, cleanliness, and general condition. It was just what I was looking for in a getaway and looked just like the online photos. The lanai overlooking the ocean was perfect and listening to the gentle waves while watching for turtles offshore while drinking our coffee started the day out just right. The condo was fully stocked with dishes, linens, pots and pans, and we were very happy with all of the beach items that were available for our use. There are several great beaches nearby with good snorkeling and several restaurants within walking distance or a short drive away. We stopped in Lahaina for groceries on or way to the condo but there is a grocery store nearby in Napili. After we checked in, the property manager reached out to us to make sure all was well and to let us know they were there for us. All and all, we had a perfect trip and look forward to staying in this lovely condo again soon! Mahalo A

I’ll try and give you the pros and cons.First off, you are in Hawaii!!! Absolutely spectacular view from our lanai. Almost everyday we could see whales from our lanai. Nice table and comfortable chairs on the lanai. You could not see the sunset from the lanai. We would watch the sunset down by the pool. Also, no sun shining on the lanai in February. I love the sun and my husband likes the shade. I spent a lot of time by the pool. Fantastic view of the ocean from the pool area. Plenty of lounges and chairs to sit on by the pool. They also had a few tables and nice grills by the pool. Condo has beach chairs, cooler, toys, and beach towels. Kitchen was stocked with the basic necessities. If you like to cook, you will need to buy spices. The kitchen could use potholders, chip clips and a scissors. The condo was clean when we arrived and nicely decorated. We appreciated our host leaving us coffee and Mauna Loa chocolate macadamia nuts. There were hard water stains in the shower and bathtub from people not cleaning up after their shower. We have hard water at our lake home. I use vinegar, dawn soap and a magic eraser. The stains will come off but a lot of scrubbing at first. If older adults with mobility issues are staying, be aware there is no hand rail in the shower. They have three elevators in the complex. The entrance to the complex is ramped. They have a ramp to the pool area and a pool chair to get in and out of the pool. The mattress was comfortable. Pillows were flat. Nice closet and plenty of drawers. We didn’t use the tv in the bedroom. Living room tv was great and sofa was comfortable. It was usually windy during our stay. This was our third time to Maui. Great location. I would definitely stay at this condo again. Hope this review was helpful. Nancy S.

  • Sep 08, 2025 Royal Kahana This condo was wonderful. It was clean and had everything we needed during our 9 day stay. The condo has been updated and had all the amenities we needed. Parking and check-in were easy. Condo is located within walking distance of several restaurants which we walked to on occasion. My daughter walked over to Hawaiian Trade coffee every morning. Drive down to Lahaina was quick and easy. The pool and beach at the property is very nice as well. I picked this condo for my wife and 18 year old daughter and didn’t get a single complaint so very satisfied. Adam R.

Unfortunately our stay was one day short to due to a cancelled flight from Hawaii Airlines. The fee was nonrefundable and we hope to recover it from the airline. We will see. No quick response. Even went so far as to offer me a ride home from the hospital which was an hour away . Also checked on me the next day to see if I needed anything . If I were to rate this place on a scale of one to ten I would give an eleven !!!

  • Sep 08, 2025 Royal Kahana #308 Our room was beautiful and the property is very nice with pool and small beach right in front. The view from our unit was outstanding and faced northwest, so we got cool breezes and not the hot afternoon sun. A few more oven pots and tuperwares would have been nice. Our check in was delayed because of a flight cancelation, and texting with the property management company was a little wonky- we are not big texters and would have preferred to speak with someone- But this is just a personal preference. Most people seem to love texting. A special bottle of wine, cookies and chocolate were left in our room because of the arrival inconvenience. Bed was very comfortable for us. Huge TV was nice, bit we didn't use it much because so much to do. We did use the BBQ's a few times. Michelle D.

Given the length our stay (22 days) we liked the amount of space in the unit; no need for mirrored walls. Photos give an accurate description. Lots of drawers and closet storage space. AC was out while there. Thoughtfully, two portable ac units were provided, but we didn’t use them. North exposure and excellent cross ventilation is all we needed. Kitchen was well equipped and unit was clean and in good condition. We spent a lot of time enjoying the view and whale watching from the lanai.   • Sep 08, 2025 Nice Condo location The Royal Kahana is well placed in West Maui. The building and property are nice places to stay. The kitchen is good, although the tight space makes some drawers interesting to open :). It would be nice to see some minor updates, such as the handles/knobs for turning on the tub/shower water. Overall though we had a really nice stay, and the view of the ocean was something we never got tired of. We were there during a lunar eclipse, and full moon for several nights, and those nights were quite special outdoors. Norman B.

We loved having the ocean front balcony, the bed was really comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked. There isn't a beach at this place anymore due to beach erosion, but there are lots of great beaches that aren't too far. I would recommend renting a car so you can get around to other destinations as there isn't much within a reasonable walking distance, but a few miles in either direction with a car you can find a lot. Some of the tours we took picked up right from this location, which was really convenient. The host was also great and really responsive. 10/10 would recommend for your vacation! Nicole B.

We fell asleep to the waves each evening. The views especially the sunset did not disappoint. Jun 12, 2023 Perfect place for rest and relaxation! First, I really like the pre-trip communication regarding the condo. It was very reassuring to know that you could reach someone at any time for assistance. We were very happy with the condo location, appearance, cleanliness, and general condition. It was just what I was looking for in a getaway and looked just like the online photos. The lanai overlooking the ocean was perfect and listening to the gentle waves while watching for turtles offshore while drinking our coffee started the day out just right. The condo was fully stocked with dishes, linens, pots and pans, and we were very happy with all of the beach items that were available for our use. There are several great beaches nearby with good snorkeling and several restaurants within walking distance or a short drive away. We stopped in Lahaina for groceries on or way to the condo but there is a grocery store nearby in Napili. After we checked in, the property manager reached out to us to make sure all was well and to let us know they were there for us. All and all, we had a perfect trip and look forward to staying in this lovely condo again soon! Mahalo A

I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed in condo 308 for 16 days in February. I’ll try and give you the pros and cons.First off, you are in Hawaii!!! Absolutely spectacular view from our lanai. Almost everyday we could see whales from our lanai. Nice table and comfortable chairs on the lanai. You could not see the sunset from the lanai. We would watch the sunset down by the pool. Also, no sun shining on the lanai in February. I love the sun and my husband likes the shade. I spent a lot of time by the pool. Fantastic view of the ocean from the pool area. Plenty of lounges and chairs to sit on by the pool. They also had a few tables and nice grills by the pool. Condo has beach chairs, cooler, toys, and beach towels. Kitchen was stocked with the basic necessities. If you like to cook, you will need to buy spices. The kitchen could use potholders, chip clips and a scissors. The condo was clean when we arrived and nicely decorated. We appreciated our host leaving us coffee and Mauna Loa chocolate macadamia nuts. There were hard water stains in the shower and bathtub from people not cleaning up after their shower. We have hard water at our lake home. I use vinegar, dawn soap and a magic eraser. The stains will come off but a lot of scrubbing at first. If older adults with mobility issues are staying, be aware there is no hand rail in the shower. They have three elevators in the complex. The entrance to the complex is ramped. They have a ramp to the pool area and a pool chair to get in and out of the pool. The mattress was comfortable. Pillows were flat. Nice closet and plenty of drawers. We didn’t use the tv in the bedroom. Living room tv was great and sofa was comfortable. It was usually windy during our stay. This was our third time to Maui. Great location. I would definitely stay at this condo again. Hope this review was helpful. Nancy S.

Sep 08, 2025 Royal Kahana This condo was wonderful. It was clean and had everything we needed during our 9 day stay. The condo has been updated and had all the amenities we needed. Parking and check-in were easy. Condo is located within walking distance of several restaurants which we walked to on occasion. My daughter walked over to Hawaiian Trade coffee every morning. Drive down to Lahaina was quick and easy. The pool and beach at the property is very nice as well. I picked this condo for my wife and 18 year old daughter and didn’t get a single complaint so very satisfied. Adam R.

Unfortunately our stay was one day short to due to a cancelled flight from Hawaii Airlines. The fee was nonrefundable and we hope to recover it from the airline. We will see. No quick response. My husband got very sick during this trip and had to transported to hospital by ambulance . The property managers assistant was so kind to me . Even went so far as to offer me a ride home from the hospital which was an hour away . Also checked on me the next day to see if I needed anything . If I were to rate this place on a scale of one to ten I would give an eleven !!!

Sep 08, 2025 Royal Kahana #308 Our room was beautiful and the property is very nice with pool and small beach right in front. The view from our unit was outstanding and faced northwest, so we got cool breezes and not the hot afternoon sun. A few more oven pots and tuperwares would have been nice. Our check in was delayed because of a flight cancelation, and texting with the property management company was a little wonky- we are not big texters and would have preferred to speak with someone- But this is just a personal preference. Most people seem to love texting. A special bottle of wine, cookies and chocolate were left in our room because of the arrival inconvenience. Bed was very comfortable for us. Huge TV was nice, bit we didn't use it much because so much to do. We did use the BBQ's a few times. Michelle D.

Given the length our stay (22 days) we liked the amount of space in the unit; no need for mirrored walls. Photos give an accurate description. Lots of drawers and closet storage space. AC was out while there. Thoughtfully, two portable ac units were provided, but we didn’t use them. North exposure and excellent cross ventilation is all we needed. Kitchen was well equipped and unit was clean and in good condition. We spent a lot of time enjoying the view and whale watching from the lanai. Sep 08, 2025 Nice Condo location The Royal Kahana is well placed in West Maui. The building and property are nice places to stay. The kitchen is good, although the tight space makes some drawers interesting to open :). It would be nice to see some minor updates, such as the handles/knobs for turning on the tub/shower water. Overall though we had a really nice stay, and the view of the ocean was something we never got tired of. We were there during a lunar eclipse, and full moon for several nights, and those nights were quite special outdoors. Norman B.

We loved having the ocean front balcony, the bed was really comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked. There isn't a beach at this place anymore due to beach erosion, but there are lots of great beaches that aren't too far. I would recommend renting a car so you can get around to other destinations as there isn't much within a reasonable walking distance, but a few miles in either direction with a car you can find a lot. Some of the tours we took picked up right from this location, which was really convenient. The host was also great and really responsive. 10/10 would recommend for your vacation! Nicole B.

Sep 08, 2025 30th in Maui We went to Maui to celebrate our 30th anniversary. Our visit was perfect. It was just what we needed after 2020 AKA the gap year. We fell asleep to the waves each evening. The views especially the sunset did not disappoint. The condo provided everything we needed right down to the Tommy Bahama beach chairs and cooler for the beach.
