The kitchen was well stocked, and there was enough beach equipment for our family to enjoy the area beaches.The location was great slightly up in the hills. We were able to watch the sunset from the lanai every evening. Grocery shopping was simple and the farmers market was really great.We were within 10 to 50 minute driving distance to the area's amazing beaches.My family (adults and teens) loved this house and location.   • Jun 21, 2025 Ono Oasis was everything and more! Ono Oasis was everything and more! We stayed in June 2025- and were immediately in awe of the home's character and beauty in every aspect. The setting is a musical oasis of birds and Coqui frogs that welcomed us and I will miss these sounds here at home! The HUGE kitchen had everything anyone could want including a full second outside kitchen. The furniture and decor were beautiful and comfortable. I only wish I had 14 days instead of 7 to enjoy this home. I LOVED the master shower and view outside! The sunset views were amazing from the front deck. The view is absolutely gorgeous. The temps on the hill (about 700 feet elevation) were always comfortable and I Never would want or need AC in this house with the many ceiling fans ! The bath robes were a treat (for all guests) and the LARGE supply of beach towels was perfect- The washer and dryer super handy. I know the owners plan to move there full time and I will be sad if I cannot visit this property again. Thankful I did! Garnet D

The primary terrace had wonderful views of the ocean and was the perfect place to wake up and enjoy coffee. The home was spacious with plenty of room for my family with various hang out spots where we could be alone yet together. If you’re a mid century architecture nerd, you’ll love this place. Douglas W

Review my pros and cons below Pros - Beautiful home - Lots of towels and - Very private location Cons - Communication was difficult as the hosts do not use the airbnb chat feature proactively. You will need to call for immediate support - Landscapers showed up unannounced during our stay (on a different day than they disclosed they were scheduled) - back to poor communication - Not WFH friendly as the Wifi was spotty inside the house, you could only access 5g by the pool Brandon Meanchop

  • Apr 27, 2024 This house was beautiful. The pool was perfect! Appreciated all the extra towels for the pool and showers. Location was very convenient! They responded quickly to any communication sent. We weren’t expecting the stairs and elevation changes throughout the house. It was a little difficult for my aunt who uses a walker. However, I’m glad I missed that because I wouldn’t have booked it, and I’m so happy we did. It was also a little challenging to locate all the light switches. Perhaps labels near the lights to tell you where the switches are? Over all, we loved staying at Ohana Oasis! Seatree Osage

We split up our time in Hawaii, and after staying at the Mauna Loa Resort for a few nights preceding our stay at this property, we were relieved and felt like we were “coming home” when we finally got checked in. Property is crystal clean and incredibly private. But what stood out to me right off the bat was how well the kitchen was stocked. We prepared all of our meals and the space, tools and amenities were perfect. Loved the space, there was plenty of it. If I were forced to knock of a point or two, I’d say the view, while remarkable from the master bedroom, is hard to view from the backyard. But all said and done, incredible property, wonderful stay, and a great end to our summer Hawaii vacation. We made wonderful memories! Joe Jespersen

  • Mar 05, 2023 My siblings and I got together for the first time in decades to clear out our mothers house. We lost both of our parents and my brother in 18 months. This place allowed us to be in a beautiful sanctuary while we processed difficult emotions and paperwork we had a limited time to review. While Kona was not a vacation destination for us this place allowed us to have that Hawaiian feeling we needed. It was three adults total. We each had our own room and bathroom to allow us to have our privacy but amazing common areas to be together. The outside kitchen was lovely as was the indoor garden. I would recommend! We loved the quiet neighborhood, complete private pool and gorgeous grounds, and how well stocked this home was. It has everything you need (laundry soap, plenty of paper towels and the bathrooms are even stocked with shampoo and body wash). The location is set high in the hills, but only a short drive down the hill and inti Kailua-Kona. We loved exploring volcano national park, Hapuna beach, kua bay/beach and snorkeling in several gorgeous locations. For those who do not love bugs, this home does have geckos, some Mosquitos near the pond, tiny cute frogs by the pond and loads of birds, but that is all to be expected in a tropical location with dense vegetation! We would highly recommend staying at this home and working with this rental company. They were fantastic! Katy R

True to its name, Ono Oasis offers a unique tropical retreat for a dream Big Island vacation, with distant ocean and sunset views, a solar heated saltwater pool, and over 2,800 square feet of luxury living space. This extraordinary home provides the perfect setting for indoor-outdoor living, with generous gathering areas and the privacy of three bedroom suites plus an additional half bath.

The open-concept kitchen at Ono Oasis features plenty of cooking space and flows into a lovely dining area for six. Just adjacent, an expansive atrium living room has soaring ceilings and a wall of glass doors, which provide ample natural light and a view of the pool. A separate den/office space ensures flexibility for large groups and also has lanai access.

Ono Oasis' sprawling primary suite opens to an ocean-view lanai, while its shower opens to the outside gardens. A second bedroom with its own bath also allows access to the private back yard. A separate guest suite off the pool area opens to a fabulous cabana, where a covered outdoor living and dining room create the ultimate island-style living experience.

The lush grounds of Ono Oasis boast mature landscaping, including fruit trees, palms, and bamboo, as well as a pond. Along with the pool and cabana, the outdoor kitchen offers another opportunity for guests to enjoy quality vacation time together. The covered lanai provides an appealing option for those who wish to simply lounge and appreciate their Hawaiian surroundings. We welcome guests with open arms, however as this property does not have a fence around the pool there is inherent danger for unattended children. Due to this inherent risk we can assume no responsibility for you or your guests' use of the pool.

This one-of-a-kind South Kona home on the Big Island of Hawaii's west coast allows easy access to a variety of spectacular beaches, such as White Sands Beach Park and Kahaluu Beach Park. Endless dining and shopping possibilities are nearby in Kona Town. Just a short drive also leads to activities such as snorkeling, hiking, golf, and horseback riding.
