Aug 04, 2022 A fantastic week in Kona We had a fantastic time at this house in Kona. It is in a beautiful gated community, just minutes from world class snorkeling and downtown. Beautiful sunsets can be seen from the pool and plenty of outdoor seating for Al fresco meals. The house is well appointed with plenty of beach towels, snorkel gear, and other beach gear (umbrellas, beach chairs, sand toys). The kitchen had most utensils and baking dishes you could need for a week and plenty of storage containers. Our one complaint was that the secondary bathroom shower was quite slick and could probably use an in shower mat or safety bars, or both. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here! Kathleen B

Kahakai Estates Hale's spacious, welcoming primary suite features a lovely bathroom and a curbless walk in shower, and dual sinks. Two more generous bedrooms, another full bath, and a powder room ensure total guest privacy, while amenities such as a laundry room provide all the comforts of home. Warm, rustic floors greet you in the living spaces, which include an open-concept great room with plenty of inviting seating and dining space for six. A large kitchen with bar seating boasts granite countertops, new stainless appliances, another comfortable seating area, and sliding doors that lead out to the lanai.
The tranquil outdoor area at Kahakai Estates Hale creates a private paradise. A fully-fenced backyard with a huge lanai showcases heavenly ocean views. Play in the pool, lounge in the sun, prepare lunch on the barbecue grill, enjoy a leisurely meal at the outdoor dining table, or unwind in the hot tub under the stars.
This Hawaiian retreat in the Kailua-Kona area on the Big Island's west coast allows easy access to Makalawena Beach, White Sands Beach Park, Kahalu'u Beach Park, and other incredible coastal areas where guests can snorkel, stand-up paddle, kayak, and even swim with manta rays. The Kona Gold Coast offers opportunities for a variety of additional activities, such as golf, ziplining, exploring petroglyphs, and touring Kona coffee farms. A short drive also leads to the renowned Alii Drive, where countless dining and shopping possibilities await, along with historical sites, farmers' markets, and art galleries.
