  • Jul 13, 2025 We really enjoyed are stay here. The location couldn't be better as it is on the end of the lake nearest to town which makes for easy food shopping. It's also a very short drive to one of our favorite walking spots which is the Simpson Nature Preserve. The house has a very homey feeling with a fully stocked kitchen. There was a basket of toiletries for guests and a basket of snacks in the kitchen which was a nice touch. The location is very quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed the pretty backyard and had the extra treat of sharing it with a deer one morning. We also woke up one morning to enjoy two deer in the front garden. We highly recommend! Jane R

  • Jun 11, 2025 Wonderful rental in a lovely, quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed our nine day stay very much. We appreciated being a short drive from shopping and restaurants, but still felt like we were tucked away from the busy streets of town. Our 4 year old grandson loved riding his bike on the quiet street. The front and back porches got lots of use for coffee, wine and dining alfresco. We hope to stay here again some day. Annette S

Everything we needed, from three different ways to make coffee, yoga mats, a snack basket, and an incredibly attentive host. The location was close to town but tucked into a quiet dead-end street. The house was spacious and cozy at the same time, and the front garden and back yard provided perfect outdoor spots to enjoy a morning coffee and an afternoon snooze. Matt S

  • Nov 24, 2024 My family and I had a wonderful stay at this lovely home over the Thanksgiving holiday. They had just done a holiday photo shoot and asked if we wanted them to leave the decorations up or take them down before our arrival. We opted in. When we walked into the home there were lights and a decorated tree and the table was set for a holiday dinner. It felt like walking into a relative's home. We were informed the night before our arrival that the furnace had given out. The hosts contacted us as soon as they realized this. The bought effective space heaters for every room and turned on the gas fireplace so that by the time we arrived it was warm. The following day (first business day), the repair team was on site before 8am. They had the furnace replaced in quick order. I really appreciated the transparency of the hosts; there were no surprises. We had a fabulous holiday, served a full Thanksgiving meal from the well outfitted kitchen, and experienced a wonderful vacation. Collin R
  • Oct 10, 2024 I was pleasantly surprised with my stay! I think the only disappointment was the bed. I was not the best and actually felt like a blow up mattress. I was as if it is very old and the springs collapsed. I would love to stay here again but would like to make sure the mattress is replaced before booking another trip. All in all, I really loved how comfortable the space was and the amount of kitchen tools and items was beyond any other home I have stayed in. Still close to great shopping amenities like Whole Foods and Fred Meyer, but located in the upper-scale side of town. House had an abundance of amenities and most of the staples so you did not need to worry about buying olive oil and spices. Neighborhood was very quiet and the lake looked beautiful. Bellingham was a great city overall with lots to do and this was the cherry on top. Will definitely stay here again next time we come to visit friends. Joel A
