• Jun 24, 2025 Everything was really well thought out for families. This was our first time in Kauai, and we absolutely loved having this place as our home base for the week. The location is perfect — super close to the beach (think sunrise walks), and the pools, jacuzzis, and outdoor showers were a huge bonus for our family after long beach and travel days. We had everything we needed — beach towels, chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, beach toys — all the gear made it so easy to just relax and enjoy. Sitting on the patio on a rainy night, walking around the property through green and trees, and listening to morning waves were absolute highlights. The kitchen was great for making meals and staying within budget, and having laundry nearby was super convenient mid trip and before flying. Exploring the island was wonderful but coming "home" in the evenings was a comforting relief. Everything was really well thought out for families. • Jan 19, 2025 We’ll come back. We came to rest and relax, to finish healing from surgeries and life’s challenges. The comfort and peacefulness of your condo were just what we needed. Having the close options of the beach and ocean or the pool was perfect. We also had the delight of a beach side restaurant at Lava Lava which we highly recommend. As we rested and grew stronger we explored further. We drove up the canyon and were amazed. We kayaked the Waimea and grew stronger. We rented bicycles from Boss Frog as we continued to heal. Walking, sight-seeing, shopping was all clods by. We could start our morning on our own private lanai with birds singing. It was perfect for us and we are so grateful. Our personal host was Janie and she was as close as a text but never bothered us. Thank you for helping to heal these two people in their 80th years! Show more Show less Maggie W

• Jun 12, 2024 My husband and I have stayed at several different units at Plantation Hale over the years, and this was the best by far. Communication was quick and informative. The unit was exceptionally clean and well furnished, with everything you'd need. The kitchen was well stocked, as was the bathroom. The AC units in the living room and bedroom worked great. There were also really neat Hawaiian style art work everywhere. The location is great, located centrally to both the north and south ends of the island. Also it truly is a ground floor unit. We've found that with other units advertised as ground floor, there can be steps going down, as was the case with a different place we stayed earlier. This unit has no steps or stairs. • Jan 01, 2024 We had a great stay! Traveled with renting kids, was comfortable for us. A cozy condo in a great location, walkable to the beach and coconut marketplace with lots of shops and restaurants. Short drive to Kapaa and Lydgate park, centrally located to other parts of the island. The condo had everything we needed and then some (pool towels, umbrellas, fully stocked kitchen) which we really appreciated! The host was very responsive and friendly, very accommodating to our travel times as well! Thank you! The only downside was that the condo itself was pretty dark, it is a corner unit with lots of surrounding trees and walls so not much sunlight in the condo but it wasn’t a big issue. • Nov 24, 2023 Overall, great unit! Location was perfect. We walked to the Coconut Marketplace several times. Having the beach chairs and boogie boards was fantastic as well. Laundry was right next door and easy to access and use. Only drawback, which others noted, was that the walls are very thin. You can hear everything that is going on in the hall. Even with that, the noise quieted down by 9pm and wasn't an issue while trying to sleep. Show more Show less Emily R

• Aug 13, 2022 Better then any stay we had in Hawaii so far. Plus-es of the stay: - apartment was very clean at arrival - no insects! also there was non disturbing, mild pest treatment done during our stay as we were away - AC was oldish and small, but it worked just fine to cool down the space + was programmable (we could set it on tem 2-3 hr before we are back home) - kitchen was very well equipped, even with small minor details. No dishwasher though, but it was not a problem for us. - Personel was very much available and attentive. Brought us beach towels right away, brought us blankets and such.. - House was very livable", meaning there were laundry beans, beach chairs, vagon car to load it all to carry to the beach, even a buggy board, iron board and plenty of towels (enough for 10 day vacation of 4!!!) - laundry room is just by the unit. Requires app to install and put $$ on the account to use it. Otherwise, was very clean and worked just fine. - stay location was EXCELLENT: close to all the grocery stores, close to the beach and kinda mid island, so equal way to both ways Minus-es: - we arrived at 10 am local time. Check in is very late - at 4 pm. I called to push it somewhat up, but no success. I wish they would be more flexible in that way - couch in the living room is good, but needs extra rug under it as it slides on the floor extra easily and hard to seat on or sleep on" Show more Show less Snastasiya B
