Aug 06, 2024 Beautiful location and much larger than expected. Beds were super comfy and the showers and master bath were amazing. The water feature in the outdoor garden space is very peaceful and relaxing. The lanai was enjoyable to watch sunsets at night, and is quintessential Hawaiian sunset material. Remarkable views of the ocean! Kitchen is large and has almost everything we needed. Upon arrival, we noticed the place was immaculately cleaned with tons of fresh linens, towels, and extra if needed. Hot tub situation needs to be fixed and addressed. It is only for use at certain times. Guests are adults and should be allowed to choose times for hot tub usage. You'll need good eyes at night to see in the kitchen as there is not adequate lighting. Not an issue for our stay, but note that the rooms remain very cool because of the AC's, but the rest of the place gets pretty warm by mid afternoon. Overall, we highly recommend this airbnb, and would happily stay here again. Wendy Rogers

May 13, 2024 My wife and I stayed at this beautiful home for 10 days. Tall vaulted ceilings in the large common area was nice. The kitchen was well equiped and we enjoy cooking local fresh local fare. We loved the patio at sunrise and sunset. The hot tub was good for our achy bones after hikes and activities. Being a large gated community gave us an extra feeling of security, although we have never had an issue on any of the islands. This is a great place for 1, 2, or 3 couples. Mahalo Nui Loa! Jan 29, 2024 Pineapple house is in a fantastic location. The beds were super comfortable. The house was well equipped with lots of linens and beach towels. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to whip up a meal. The place had a nice grill! We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back. Jacqueline Petrunia

Oct 21, 2023 My family and I stayed at the Pineapple House while we were in Kona for our wedding. The views were gorgeous! The house was beautiful and comfortable. We didn’t want to leave! It had everything we needed during the trip, including beach chairs to borrow when we went snorkeling to see the turtles. We will definitely come back in the future. Chelsea Canada

Jul 07, 2023 Facing west, overlooking the Pacific, the Pineapple House is the perfect spot to catch the most incredible sunsets you will ever witness. Situated in a gated community with 24/7 security, the house feels like an oasis--safe, tranquil, and private. Moreover the grounds are beautifully landscaped with palm trees, flowering plumerias, and water features--it's like a private resort. And the house itself is very spacious, clean and well-appointed (e.g., kitchen utensils, beach gear, snorkeling masks, sun tan lotion)! Finally, the host was very responsive to our queries about the wi-fi set up and the front door code. Both issues were resolved with a quick phone call. All in all, we had a dream vacation in this dream house! Carl Blyth

Description
Step into Pineapple House to discover its magnificent great room, incorporating an open-air design laid out for the kitchen, dining room and living room. The great room allows for an abundance of fresh air and natural light to pour in from its many windows and high ceilings throughout the space, making it an ideal locale to spend your days lounging or watching television in the living area, dining at the dinner table set for 6 (or the breakfast table set for 4), or whipping up a delicious tropical meal in the spacious kitchen which comes with several stainless steel appliances and 2 different counters each with 4 barstools for guests. There are several views out onto the tropical gardens and the water feature, as well as the open ocean from within the great room, but the covered back lanai (porch) offers the best view in the entire home.
With ample tables, chairs and beach loungers, as well as a hot tub and BBQ grilling station and a gorgeous view over the sparkling blue waters, the lanai is the best destination for relaxing and enjoying the immense beauty of the Hawaiian landscape (especially during the colorful Hawaiian sunset, or even after dark for amazing star gazing). Enjoy the property’s plentiful avocado, papaya and citrus trees, as well as the lovely professionally designed water garden with native ferns and a pond.
The spacious master bedroom comes with a King bed, ceiling fan, desk space, large walk-in closet, lanai access, and spectacular panoramic ocean & garden views through the wrap-around windows, as well as a private ensuite with dual vanities, walk-in shower and a large soaking tub. Guest bedroom 1 is furnished with a King bed and offers views onto the ocean and the garden, with access to the guest bathroom with a shower/tub combo. Guest bedroom 2 comes with a Queen bed and a ceiling fan, with access to the guest bathroom. All bedrooms come with air conditioning as well as televisions.
Pineapple House is located in the safe and gated community of Keauhou Estates, which is staffed with a security guardhouse and regular patrols. It is a 12-minute drive to downtown Kailua-Kona where you can enjoy the Big Island of Hawai’i’s premier restaurants, luxury shopping and an array of entertainment venues for the whole family to enjoy. Pineapple House is also just off of the Ka’ahumanu Highway for easy transport across the entire island, as well as a convenient 25 minutes to and from the Kona International Airport.
