  • Feb 20, 2024 We had an amazing time. There were 3 married couple and 2 single adults. We couldn't have asked for a better location or set up for a house. The rooms were all plenty spacious and with 3 bathrooms there was no issues getting ready for going places. The pool and hot tub combo was so unique and yet very functional. We used both everyday and night. There were beach chairs, boogie boards and towels available for us to use for beach time. I'd definitely recommend and would stay here again. Cassandra Bennett
  • Nov 18, 2023 House and property exactly as described. A few minor maintenance issues needed ie safety alarm on one door and needing slightly clearer instructions on hot tub. House had everything you needed from kitchen with very well stocked dishes, cooking, serving and storing food. Hand mixer was the only appliance we didnt find. Denelle Wrightson
  • Jul 02, 2023 Our family of 6 adults and a toddler were very comfortable here (we brought our our blow up air mattress for the toddler). The pool and views were amazing. The sliding doors going out to the pool had alarms which were great for making sure our toddler didn’t try to go outside without us noticing. The host was very responsive on the few small issues we had. They were able to accommodate us checking in early and checking out late. We had access to the private Mauna Lani beach club which had great snorkeling in a cove with no waves. The house was stocked with beach chairs, umbrellas, and pool noodles/toys. The island-inspired design and tropical landscaping surrounding Mauna Lani KaMilo #311 solidifies the fact that you have arrived in paradise. This detached home can comfortably sleep up to six guests and is equipped with a sleeper sofa to accommodate two additional guests if needed. The main floor lanai offers panoramic views of the rolling fairways and is an ideal spot to enjoy the renowned Hawaiian sunsets you’ll be treated to daily thanks to the home’s location on the warm, sunny west side of the Big Island. When you’re not busy exploring the beaches and valleys of the gold coast, the pool and hot tub in your fenced-in backyard are sure to keep you occupied.

The great room sits under vaulted GrassCloth ceilings with mahogany trim and a unique Palisade ceiling fan. You’ll enjoy cooking in the home’s gourmet kitchen, complete with high-end stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and a large island with bar seating. The open floor plan allows the chef to interact with friends and family seated at the dining table for six to eight people, as well as the adjacent living room, where a large, mounted flatscreen TV is surrounded by a plush couch and two sitting chairs the color of the ocean. Massive screened pocket doors connect the great room to the sizable lanai, where the beauty of the carved wooden posts and the railing’s subtle leaf designs are utterly eclipsed by the vast golf course and peek-a-boo ocean view beyond. Grill and consume a mouth-watering meal on the outdoor dining table, as you listen to the other guests splash around in the pool below.

Downstairs you’ll find a spacious family room with a flatscreen TV, lots of seating, including a sofa bed to accommodate additional guests, and access to the home’s spectacular backyard. A pool and hot tub serve as the centerpiece of the space, and are surrounded by lounge chairs, colorful plants, and numerous trees ensuring privacy from your neighbors. All of the bedrooms include flatscreen TVs and ceiling fans. You can access the primary bedroom, with its four poster king-size bed, via sliding glass doors from the backyard. The spacious ensuite includes both a soaking tub and walk-in shower, dual vanities, and a large walk-in closet. There is also a laundry room with full-size washer and dryer units in the home for your convenience.

Not only is Mauna Lani KaMilo #311 luxurious, so is the two acre resort area surrounding it. During your stay you have access to two additional pools, including a lagoon-style pool and a lap pool, a fitness center, and a spa where you can treat yourself to a relaxing massage. When you’re ready to hit the beach, there’s no shortage of sandy, white-sand beaches along the coast, but definitely don’t miss well-known Hapuna Beach. For breathtaking views, there are two stunning valleys you can hike through, where the trail ends at a black sand beach. Waipi’o Valley is the more popular of the two, but the steep cliff sides of Pololu Valley make it worth a visit.
