Mar 12, 2024 Very nice setting, good parking, plenty of space for everyone. For a large group it worked out well. 4 families 12 people and did not feel crowded . Kitchen well appointed however rice cooker did not work. House right on ocean so beautiful views, sounds of waves crashing. Minor issue with hot tub, managers quickly resolved. Jan 13, 2024 We rented this house with a days notice. Our flight was canceled and our family of 12 suddenly was without accomodations. Not only was the house everything that we needed as a large family, but the management company was outstanding and made the rental process fast and easy. When half of our family had a new fllight cancelation once again, we needed to extend our visit by a day and even that process was made easy. They went over and above to accomodate us at time when we were all feeling in a panic. You won't go wrong renting this house! Deborah Hendrickson

Sep 17, 2023 We loved our stay at Hale Pua! Beautiful, spacious and comfortable accommodations and absolutely breathtaking views! Waves crashing over the seawall, sunrises and sunsets and so much more. Close to downtown Kona, yet completely private. Our young grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed the pool and the media room of course! The adults were thrilled with the setting. We had a wonderful time! Thank you so much! Debbie Nowak

Jul 16, 2023 Beautiful property in a great location! Loved the pool and hot tub and the backyard had enough grass for the kids to play soccer and football. Snorkeling was great along with the fishing in the ocean behind the home. There was plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for our group of fourteen. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Rebecca Winek

Jul 03, 2023 Being in Hawaii alone is breathtaking, but to have this house and this view just made our trip that much better. This house is even more beautiful in person!! It’s an actual dream home, I can’t recommend it enough. Or family of 16 fit perfectly and everyone was so impressed by how gorgeous it was. The management team was also so amazing and helpful every step of the way. Highly recommend to anyone taking a big group trip!! Kamie Crim

Apr 11, 2023 We stayed here with 3 teenagers and three small children. The pool was great and the view of the water from the backyard was amazing. We loved the kitchen and the master bedroom suite. Dec 31, 2022 This is the hands down the finest property we’ve stayed. Every thing about it was perfect. There is literally 2 of everything! An abundance of beach towels and the media room was great for enjoyment t of movies at the end of the night! The response from management was extremely timely even on New Year’s Eve night and day. We were a family of 7 adults. Everyone had a wing. I can’t say enough about it. Worth every penny! Jennifer White Singer

Turtle beach is just a short walk away and we saw multiple turtles there. The waves splash up on the grass in the afternoon which is so cool. Management company is on point with their communication. The kitchen and dining area are drenched in natural light and feature views of both the pool and the crystalline ocean. Cooking mouthwatering meals is effortless in Hale Pua’s kitchen, with state-of-the-art appliances, all the cookware you need, and two separate islands providing ample counter space and bar seating. Massive sliding glass doors open up to a large outdoor dining table, perfect for enjoying a delicious meal with the gentle island breeze. Ready to feel refreshed and rejuvenated? Take a dip in the private saltwater pool or soak in the hot tub for a while. Enjoy yoga or watch the kids play on the lawn as the adults watch over them from lounge chairs positioned just outside the glass sliders that lead back into the comfortable living room, with its oversized sectional and flatscreen TV.
There’s no need to argue about who gets which room since every bedroom has a king-size bed, air conditioning, ceiling fans, and its own full-size ensuite. Fall asleep to the sound of the waves in your sizable primary suite, with stunning ocean views both from the king-size bed and your private lanai that runs the length of the room. The primary bathroom treats you to double sinks, a walk-in closet, and a large tiled shower. The Ohana room can be enjoyed as a second primary suite with its king bed in the upstairs loft, downstairs bathroom, and sitting area with a queen sleeper sofa. For days when you need to check your work email, the office includes a workspace, as well as two twin beds where additional guests can lay their heads. The home includes a media room with an 80-inch TV, nine reclining seats, and hundreds of Blu-Rays for an epic movie night. There is also a game room where the family can hang out and play board games and charades or lounge on the comfortable sleeper sofa. In addition, you can keep packing to a minimum with the use of two full-size washers and dryers in the dedicated laundry room.
Whether you’re looking for relaxation or excitement, a fun-filled vacation is guaranteed as you spend your days enjoying the peace, tranquility, and beauty of Hale Pua, partake in adrenaline-producing activities, or explore the restaurants, shops, beaches, and cultural landmarks in the area. From Hale Pua, it’s a five-minute walk to Turtle Cove, where you can search for marine life in the tide pools, snorkel, surf, or go kayaking. Nearby, downtown Kailua-Kona provides numerous ocean activities, including scuba diving, big-game fishing, kayaking, and dolphin and whale watching. Take a tour of Hulihe’e Palace, once home to native Hawaiian royalty, it’s now a museum featuring artifacts from the time of King Kalakaua and Queen Kapi’olani. Just across the street, you can visit Mokuaikaua Church, Hawai’i’s first Christian Church established in 1820. Out of town, you may also want to consider visiting the Observatory on Mauna Kea to do some stargazing and Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park for the opportunity to see the lava flow, a potentially once-in-a-lifetime experience!
