It's fully stocked with anything you would need for a great stay. It is a beautiful very warm home. Our favorite so far on Kauai. We had our whole family and everyone was very comfortable. The host and property manager are great! Very responsive and kind. We will absolutely be back. Thank you for a home that let us just enjoy our time together. 5 stars all the way around! The host went above and beyond making sure we had everything we needed and even made sure I finished the amazing book I started from the home library. Would definitely stay again! Home is kept in pristine condition and is filled with thoughtful amenities. Everything was easy and comfortable and host was proactive in communication. We enjoyed the neighborhood and surrounding area. Lots to see and do and eat and enjoy. We took advantage of the beach and snorkel gear provided, spending multiple days at Anini Beach. We also enjoyed being so close to Princeville Center (15 min walk). Michael N
  • Nov 04, 2024 My husband and I and sister in law stayed at Luana Hale for about 10 days. The house was beautiful and clean. The house was nicely stocked with all necessary amenities. Loved the Britta in the fridge. Really helped with the taste of the water. Nice welcome gifts. Beds were really comfortable. Loved having the AC, would have been pretty miserable without it. A couple of suggestions. The TV was really hard to figure out. We don’t have Samsung Plus or whatever it was, so we couldn’t watch regular stations. Was frustrating during the election. Maybe we’re just technically challenged. We loved the beach chairs, but would have really appreciated a beach umbrella. Also, it may have been in the instruction manual, but we took luke warm showers until we figured out the solar switch in the laundry room. That was a few days into the trip. 🥶 Other than those things, the house was beautiful, comfortable, conveniently located and spotless. Will stay here again without hesitation. Amy R

  • Aug 02, 2024 Short: Pictures don't do the place justice. Pristine, comfortable, & large. Great north shore spot! Don't hesitate to stay here! Long: The AC is on splitters in bedrooms and two living rooms. Those and the fans worked really well. I was nervous with no central AC, but don't worry. You wont need it. The kitchen was fully stocked. I always think "Could I cook a holiday meal & store leftovers" & the answer is yes. They do have small pantry so check it before the store run so you don't buy double/ get what you need. There is no foil/plastic wrap etc but have storage containers. There was plastic plates for my toddler. The sleeping arrangements are all very clean, large, and comfortable. There are no black out curtains but we always travel with a sleep mask & earplugs and we slept great. Finally, the extra touches are lovely: beach equipment, soccer and basketball, and a few board games. Don't bother bringing books, their library is extensive and awesome! Can't wait to come back. We have rented many VRBO’s and Airbnb’s and I have to say the location, the property, and the vacation rental was a home away from home. The location near Princeville was very walkable and the drive to Anini Beach was right down the road! The property itself was stunning and so inviting. We felt at home and welcomed from the moment we contacted to inquire, until the time we walked out the door. Paradise is waiting.   • Apr 06, 2024 First family vacation with 2 months old infant, We felt right at home at Gather's house! It was perfect for our group (5 adults and a baby). The home is beautiful, clean and nicely appointed. We appreciated that the pantry had a wide assortment of teas, olive oil and other kitchen basics. Be sure to check the closets for the baby's crib, under the master bath sinks for tissue box as things are not left out. The house is well stocked with beach towels, chairs, umbrella, cooler but we missed that there were no umbrellas at the house. It rains often on the North Shore and a couple umbrellas would be helpful. The house is in a good walkable location, close to Foodland which is a great market, a few restaurants, Lapperts, a playground. You do need to drive to the beach, which is about 5 to 10 minute away. Princeville is halfway between Kilauea and Hanalei. Both are great little towns with lots to do. The host was responsive, allowed a later check out time. We would love to stay there again! Laurence K

Private and quiet, walking distance to nearby neighborhood shopping and a lovely Farmer's Market on Saturdays right down the street! The home was well appointed and clean. Rooms were spacious and we appreciated the A/C splits throughout. The property also has a large outdoor dining table and a set of accent chairs & table. Our only feedback is that it would have been perfect if there were also sunning/loungers as well so we could thoroughly enjoy the gorgeous backyard. One is a primary suite with a sitting room and the other houses the kitchen, dining room, another sitting room, two bedrooms and 1 and 1/2 baths. Again, with outdoor access and a private feeling to the yard. The kitchen is well stocked with lots of appliances, cookware, utensils, etc. My fav is always an outdoor shower too! Honestly, one of the nicest air bnb’s we’ve stayed in and my family loved it there. A small thing, but the the various signage that says leave shoes outside, etc. is done is a positive, respectful way that shows care. For some reason this stuck out at me as a nice touch. This home is well situated near the Princeville shopping area and to Hanalei Bay and very easy to get to other beaches such as Anini Beach. So many options in this part of the island.   • Jul 04, 2023 The home is beautiful and spacious, with all the amenities we needed for our stay - fully stocked kitchen, games and extensive book library, outdoor shower, beach equipment, multiple TVs, garage and more. We enjoyed hanging out on the patio and backyard, and our daughter loved playing in the house and doing gymnastics on the lawn. The location is ideal; a short drive or walk to Princeville Center and Princeville Park (which has a playground and workout stations). We even discovered the Saturday farmer's market at Princeville Park. Hanalei beach is also a short drive. Highly recommend! Julie R

  • May 11, 2023 Absolutely lovely home. We spent quite a bit of time pondering where we would stay on our first trip to Kauai but we're glad we landed here. North shore (IMHO) is the most beautiful part of the island with all the tropical sights/views. Property is in a lovely neighborhood setting which is very peaceful. Home is stunning, well kept, and a perfect place to come home to after a day at the beach or hiking. If you get stuck in the rain, it's a nice place to wait it out. Overall, can't recommend this location enough and will stay again on future trips. You won't be disappointed. Nicholas V

Dec 28, 2024 Our family of 5 (children ages: 21, 18, 15) had a wonderful week-long stay and would not hesitate to return to this beautiful home. Home is kept in pristine condition and is filled with thoughtful amenities. Everything was easy and comfortable and host was proactive in communication. We enjoyed the neighborhood and surrounding area. Lots to see and do and eat and enjoy. We took advantage of the beach and snorkel gear provided, spending multiple days at Anini Beach. We also enjoyed being so close to Princeville Center (15 min walk). Michael N
Nov 04, 2024 My husband and I and sister in law stayed at Luana Hale for about 10 days. The house was beautiful and clean. The house was nicely stocked with all necessary amenities. Loved the Britta in the fridge. Really helped with the taste of the water. Nice welcome gifts. Beds were really comfortable. Loved having the AC, would have been pretty miserable without it. A couple of suggestions. The TV was really hard to figure out. We don’t have Samsung Plus or whatever it was, so we couldn’t watch regular stations. Was frustrating during the election. Maybe we’re just technically challenged. We loved the beach chairs, but would have really appreciated a beach umbrella. Also, it may have been in the instruction manual, but we took luke warm showers until we figured out the solar switch in the laundry room. That was a few days into the trip. 🥶 Other than those things, the house was beautiful, comfortable, conveniently located and spotless. Will stay here again without hesitation. Amy R

Aug 02, 2024 Short: Pictures don't do the place justice. Pristine, comfortable, & large. Great north shore spot! Don't hesitate to stay here! Long: The AC is on splitters in bedrooms and two living rooms. Those and the fans worked really well. I was nervous with no central AC, but don't worry. You wont need it. The kitchen was fully stocked. I always think "Could I cook a holiday meal & store leftovers" & the answer is yes. They do have small pantry so check it before the store run so you don't buy double/ get what you need. There is no foil/plastic wrap etc but have storage containers. There was plastic plates for my toddler. The sleeping arrangements are all very clean, large, and comfortable. There are no black out curtains but we always travel with a sleep mask & earplugs and we slept great. Finally, the extra touches are lovely: beach equipment, soccer and basketball, and a few board games. Don't bother bringing books, their library is extensive and awesome! Can't wait to come back. We have rented many VRBO’s and Airbnb’s and I have to say the location, the property, and the vacation rental was a home away from home. The location near Princeville was very walkable and the drive to Anini Beach was right down the road! The property itself was stunning and so inviting. We felt at home and welcomed from the moment we contacted to inquire, until the time we walked out the door. Paradise is waiting. Apr 06, 2024 First family vacation with 2 months old infant, We felt right at home at Gather's house! It was perfect for our group (5 adults and a baby). The home is beautiful, clean and nicely appointed. We appreciated that the pantry had a wide assortment of teas, olive oil and other kitchen basics. Be sure to check the closets for the baby's crib, under the master bath sinks for tissue box as things are not left out. The house is well stocked with beach towels, chairs, umbrella, cooler but we missed that there were no umbrellas at the house. It rains often on the North Shore and a couple umbrellas would be helpful. The house is in a good walkable location, close to Foodland which is a great market, a few restaurants, Lapperts, a playground. You do need to drive to the beach, which is about 5 to 10 minute away. Princeville is halfway between Kilauea and Hanalei. Both are great little towns with lots to do. The host was responsive, allowed a later check out time. We would love to stay there again! Laurence K

Private and quiet, walking distance to nearby neighborhood shopping and a lovely Farmer's Market on Saturdays right down the street! The home was well appointed and clean. Rooms were spacious and we appreciated the A/C splits throughout. The property also has a large outdoor dining table and a set of accent chairs & table. Our only feedback is that it would have been perfect if there were also sunning/loungers as well so we could thoroughly enjoy the gorgeous backyard. One is a primary suite with a sitting room and the other houses the kitchen, dining room, another sitting room, two bedrooms and 1 and 1/2 baths. Again, with outdoor access and a private feeling to the yard. The kitchen is well stocked with lots of appliances, cookware, utensils, etc. My fav is always an outdoor shower too! Honestly, one of the nicest air bnb’s we’ve stayed in and my family loved it there. A small thing, but the the various signage that says leave shoes outside, etc. is done is a positive, respectful way that shows care. For some reason this stuck out at me as a nice touch. This home is well situated near the Princeville shopping area and to Hanalei Bay and very easy to get to other beaches such as Anini Beach. So many options in this part of the island. Jul 04, 2023 The home is beautiful and spacious, with all the amenities we needed for our stay - fully stocked kitchen, games and extensive book library, outdoor shower, beach equipment, multiple TVs, garage and more. We enjoyed hanging out on the patio and backyard, and our daughter loved playing in the house and doing gymnastics on the lawn. The location is ideal; a short drive or walk to Princeville Center and Princeville Park (which has a playground and workout stations). We even discovered the Saturday farmer's market at Princeville Park. Hanalei beach is also a short drive. Highly recommend! Julie R

May 11, 2023 Absolutely lovely home. We spent quite a bit of time pondering where we would stay on our first trip to Kauai but we're glad we landed here. North shore (IMHO) is the most beautiful part of the island with all the tropical sights/views. Property is in a lovely neighborhood setting which is very peaceful. Home is stunning, well kept, and a perfect place to come home to after a day at the beach or hiking. If you get stuck in the rain, it's a nice place to wait it out. Overall, can't recommend this location enough and will stay again on future trips. You won't be disappointed. Nicholas V

We had an issue with the hot water due to it being a solar hot water heater but it was easily remedied by the quick communication with the property manager. The location is quiet and beautiful. Walking distance(10min) to foodland and Princeville town center. The backyard was a plus for us and was very private. You are a 15 minute drive to Hanalei and a 5 minute drive to Hideaways. We lucked out and found parking at the lot 2/3 times we went. It is close to all beaches you hear about visiting. Will definitely return to Luana Hale next time we visit Kauai. Mahalo! Christine K
