• Aug 22, 2023 Our stay in Princeville was spectacular! The house was all we expected and more. The house is open and welcoming. We enjoyed cooking meals in the kitchen and used the BBQ a few times as well. The location was great also, so close to the little shops/village and also a few miles from the beach. Queens bath is just short hike around the corner, little challenging down and back up but definitely worth it. A big thank you to our gatherer for great communication and everything going smoothly. • Jul 24, 2023 What a wonderful home! A great location- lots of walking trails, paths and exploring! Close to grocery runs! And easy to drive to beaches! Home included lots of beach towels, boogie boards, beach chairs!! Gorgeous backyard and patio for early morning coffee w friends! The home was fresh and clean and so much space! • Jul 02, 2023 The house and neighborhood were amazing for a family of 8 including 5 year old! Quiet, peaceful, comfortable and not in a neighborhood of tourists. Contact with host for house was easy and responsive. We were able to relax and really felt like we were away from everything you associate with busy everyday life. We walked to Hideaway Beach, amazing for snorkeling but a hike down to beach. We also spent a lot of family time at Hanalei Bay and beaches which were perfect for kids, surfing and spending time on uncrowded beaches. Hanalei is a really cute, small, laid back community which we really enjoyed. So much nicer than the crowded side of the island at Poipu! We have been to Kauai several times and will be back! • May 19, 2023 The property was a great size for 6 adults. We had 2 couples and 2 singles in the group, so everyone had their own room and bath (the 2 singles shared the 3rd full bath). The house was well appointed with a fully stocked kitchen and outdoor grill which gave us great flexibility with mealtimes. The hosts provided beach gear (towels, chairs, snorkel equipment, boogie boards), so the group was well prepared for multiple days at North Shore beaches. The hot tub in the back allowed a relaxing end to the day. Cooling options for the house included window AC units or the louvers that allowed the trade winds to ventilate. Princeville is a quiet neighborhood with the typical Kauai Roosters that announce the arrival the morning! • May 05, 2023 Better than the photos! We were thrilled from the moment we walked in the door. Not only is the house well decorated and spacious but it is ripe with accommodations from beach supplies to bikes and more. The kitchen was a joy to cook in (we have a chef in our group), the backyard is secluded and fantastic for relaxing and doing yoga, the hot tub actually WORKS and was easy to slide the cover on and off. The landscaping is well maintained and has a variety of tropical plant species. This was my first time staying on the north side of Kauai. The value and experience that this home provides is hard to beat. If you're looking for a quiet, safe, peaceful trip where you leave all your worries at home this is the spot. • Apr 12, 2023 Our group truly enjoyed our stay at the tropical garden getaway. Gather was communicative and responsive, before arrival and throughout the stay. They made the whole process so easy, we had no questions. The house has ac in almost every room as well as fans. The house is pretty well stocked - kitchen, extra towels, tons of beach equipment. The Princeville area is my favorite neighborhood to stay in, and we found a gem this time. It really is a tropical garden...house is surrounded by beautiful trees and flowers. Be sure to step out on to the lanai and take it all in. OH, and please do yourself a favor and step out at night and look up at the stars. You won't be sorry. • Apr 07, 2023 Located in a tropical and lush neighborhood and walkable to golf course and weekend Farmers Market, the home was perfectly spacious for our family of four (two adults, two teens). Along with AC, all rooms had ceiling fans (which we used, never needed AC). Beautiful backyard with comfortable seating to have your morning coffee as well as a private hot tub. Hosts left us a basket of delicious goodies and a binder full of information about the house as well as favorite beaches and restaurants. Location is a 5 minute drive to "downtown" Princeville and a 10 minute drive to Hanalei beach, shops and Farmers Market. Bonus: closet in the garage has an array of beach essentials including chairs, boogie boards, surf boards and umbrellas. Beach towels are left inside. Morning perk: roosters in the yard. This was the perfect place for our larger group trip and allowed for so many fun nights of celebration around the dinner table, on the front porch overlooking the beautiful scenery, and relaxing in the hot tub at night. • Jan 18, 2023 This is a gem of a place! It is even more beautiful than the pictures! We were so comfortable and at home. The place is stocked so generously with extra linens and abundance of towels and everything you need in the kitchen. It is so tastefully decorated. The beds were very comfortable. It was immaculate upon our arrival. We were greeted with Hawaiian chocolates and cookies and other goodies. The neighborhood is quiet and safe and just beautiful. We would love to return.
