  • Jul 17, 2026 We enjoyed our stay at the Black squirrel in Fairview. It was a peaceful location and easy to get in and out of. We saw deer walking up and down the street just about every day. It was convenient and walkable to the downtown area. The inside of the house was clean and worked well for us. The kitchen had everything we needed. It had nice gathering areas for our group. Most of the communication we had with our host was through text or email, but that worked fine for us. Overall, a very nice place to stay while you’re in the Bellingham area. David M

It suited our extended family of seven well, and allowed us to have additional family for dinners (total of 12!). The home was well laid out, VERY comfortable, and had lots of amenities. Right on the Padden Creek Trail which was nice to walk. And town was just a five minute walk away. Would stay there again in a similar situation! Barney G
