• Nov 11, 2023 The location, the view, the turtles… The location was great for those wanting a condo experience at an arm’s length from resort hotels. The northern end of the walkable beach stretches for a nice daily beach walk. Narrow beach at the condo but close enough to comfortably carry chairs to the wider beach if that’s your thing. Close walk to Dukes for beachfront meals and also walkable to the grocery store, food trucks, and pizza shop if you’re up for eating at the condo. The closest place to the water gives great sound of the waves and the balcony is pure view and completely private. No looking out at the view and seeing lots of other balconies, and them seeing you. You will see sea turtles popping their heads up for air and the water is clear enough to watch them swimming the reef. The pool and hot tub are waterfront and have a restroom with a shower if you have a late flight and want to put your stuff in your car trunk and catch some extra pool or beach time after check out. The mirrored walls give an open feeling to the unit and the swivel chairs in the living area are perfect for continuing the view even when you had to catch up on some email. Stunning view of ocean and 6 floors up makes you feel you're right on top of the ocean; some of us saw whales from window; saw a large turtle near shoreline; can go to sleep hearing sound of ocean, wood styled floors instead of carpet made it look modern. The building has a nice pool that also looks over ocean; several large grills to cook food on which were being used; hot tub. Location was close to Blackrock where we snorkeled and saw large turtles. • Mar 11, 2025 Fantastic Views & Exceptional Location! This was by far one of the best places to stay in Kaanapali in West Maui - and what a fabulous rental. The views are stunning, with access to the balcony from both the LR and BR. It seemed like we were right over the water, it's that close to the shoreline and there are views of the islands of Lanai and Molokai. It was simply magical. The location was also convenient to the beach, the beach walk, Duke's restaurant for breakfast, stores, and shops. The snorkeling from the beach and by boat were amazing. Lots of giant sea turtles, fish of all kinds, we even saw dophins swimming by us. The unit had everything you could want from a fully stocked kitchen for cooking, coffee machine, to a washer/dryer and walk in shower. The onsite, outdoor pool and jacuzzi were well maintained and clean, although pool area is pretty windy during the day. I might recommend that the owners have a high top table & chairs for the balcony because of the height of the rail, but that's minor. They are also renovating the 3 units next to use so it was a touch noisy but we knew that before we rented and planned to be on excursions, golfing or at the beach during the day. The owners were responsive and communicated well with us, including a link to info from checking in to checking to checking out. This was a dream come true vacation and we had a fun and a truly enjoyable time. Highly recommend this place (unit 608) for anyone wanting to soak in the loveliness of West Maui. The condo was just as the it was described. The facility outside facility was clean and the people how worked there were friendly. This was our 3rd Maui visit and our second time staying on the west side of Maui. Enjoying the sunsets from the lani at the end of each day were beautiful. The condo was very clean and had everything we needed as well as extras that we really appreciated. The bed was comfortable and the restroom and shower are up to date. When we visit again hopefully this rental will be available. Who in the heck would rent a hotel room when you can get this for the same or less in addition to that ocean view. We were on the 6th floor and watched sea turtles swimming right outside our window every morning. I have to add that the unit was absolutely gorgeous and had everything we could want or need, even beach stuff! Nice touch! Everything of necessity was close by and it was fun to explore. If you have kids this may not be the best for you as it isn’t a “resort” with large pool, swim up bar, restaurants, music, etc. It has all the amenities for a relaxing vacation. • Mar 11, 2025 AMAZING!! We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary in Maui and I looked at a lot of condos online. However, booking this one was 100% the right decision! Megan and Jeremy were extremely easy to work with, the condo is phenomenal and the views...the photos just don't do them justice. We were able to sleep with the screen door and hear the waves through the night and watching whales and sea turtles was our breakfast and lunch entertainment most days! It was very easy to find chairs to lounge by the pool or the grass area between the building and beach, the grounds were extremely clean, we never had an issue finding parking and the area is wonderful as a whole. Front St. is a 10-15 minute drive and the food trucks right by the condo are great. Shout out to Megan for being flexible with us on a check out time to help accommodate our flight! • Mar 11, 2025 Paradise oasis in a COVID-19 world This was our 2nd stay at this property. It was perfect just like our first stay. The unit is just the right size for a couple. You can’t beat the view. And that bed is the most comfortable bed we have ever slept on. This stay was ideal as a way to avoid the evening masses in Kaanapali and LaHaina searching for seats at the packed restaurants. On the few nights where we didn’t already have reservations (booked a month or two in advance), we simply bought takeout and enjoyed our oceanfront table on our balcony. • Mar 11, 2025 The perfect stay in paradise! Paradise! My husband and I stayed 10 days celebrating our 10 year anniversary and my birthday. This condo far surpassed our expectations. From the moment we walked in we were wow'ed by the views. I doubt they could have been much better! Our hosts had champagne and chocolates waiting for us! The kitchen had everything we needed. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable. The shower was enormous and lovely. And the lanai was heaven! There was a laundry, a closet stocked with beach bags, beach towels, chairs, and other beach fun items. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. There were closeby beaches, restaurants, shopping and snorkling. The hosts were friendly, responsive, and helpful. I do recommend renting a car. • Mar 11, 2025 Absolutely Perfect! From the moment I walked in, I knew this was going to be a perfect, relaxing vacation. I didn't plan on doing much and with those views from the balcony or inside, I didn't need to. The condo had everything that I needed and I had absolutely no issues. The bed was so comfortable and you could wake up to the sound of the waves. I went out for lunches at some of the local places that were recommended (Dukes, The Gazebo and Kimos). All were great and with views of the water. I did both the drive to Hana and also to the crater. Both were fun but the drive to the crater was spectacular. If you can time it right and get some clear weather, it is breathtaking. Also, the drive along the north coast was also beautiful with a lot of areas to turn off and smaller hikes. • Mar 11, 2025 Wishing we were still there. This is a wonderful condo and you can’t go wrong renting it. We arrived late in the evening and were so tired after a ten hour flight, 3 hour layover in Honolulu, 45 minute flight and 1 hour drive to the condo. How refreshing to see that we had a welcome basket including coffee for the morning, creamer and a sweeteners. The condo is completely well appointed with dishes, utensils, spices, paper goods, laundry detergent, sunscreen, beach gear, tennis gear, etc. We did supplement some of the paper goods towards the end of our visit but that is only because we were there for two weeks. I can’t tell you how relaxing it was to spend each morning on the lanai enjoying our coffee and watching for the whales - which were so plentiful. I got some awesome photos with my new camera. The bed is super comfortable and there is plenty of storage for clothing in the dressers in addition to a high chair and pack and play for small children. Shower is wonderful and roomy. Loved the look of the raised sink but found it awkward since I am not very tall so I splashed water over the top trying to wash my face. Our only caution would be that this is the perfect unit for a couple or small family but might be a bit awkward for four adults as two would be sleeping in the living room, but would have to venture into the small shared bathroom getting ready for bed and during the night. That was not a problem for us but might be for others. I would also say that in my opinion the whole Mahana complex is more geared towards adults. There were some children that we saw but other resorts (and you are definitely within walking distance to restaurants, a grocery store and other retail stores) nearby had much more to offer to families with children. Dukes - restaurant within walking distance - great for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Kaanapali Shores restaurant was so much fun for Happy Hour and good food. • Mar 11, 2025 Luxury home with kind heart and thoughtful care Great service form managers Megan and Jeremy, immediate responses, easy to communicate. They greeted us with nice welcome card, box of chocolates and even Christmas present, wow! They accommodated our requests on a short notice. The condo is very beautiful, nicely designed. Everything is very well thought: from bamboo floor to furniture and lighted ceilings, tastefully decorated with antique furniture, wall decor and metal sculptures. The taste of the owner is similar to ours, we have almost identical furniture and decor eat home, so we felt like home immediately. Bedroom is spacious and has lots of air, ocean view, that is great for vacation rentals. You walk up to beautiful ocean view and go to bed with moon light. Lots of closet space and hangers. King size bed is very comfortable, good pillows and linens. It was nice to have doors in a bedroom and access to the deck from bedroom and living room. Shower and toilet has a door ( great! Gives you more privacyfrom the sink area) nice tile work. Bathroom had supply of soap and bathroom towels, plenty of toilet paper and even sun lotions. There is a new washer and dryer with supply of soap. Air Conditioner works good for living room and the bedroom. Kitchen well stocked with good pots, 2 coffee makers and even set of Kurig coffee, all utensils, paper towel, sponges, dish soap and dishwasher soap. That was the BEST very well prepared kitchen with everything you may need; even including lots of spices, oil, teas, coffee,... ( we usually had to buy everything in our previous rentals). It made a huge difference how well the condo was prepared for our stay! The tv has cable and many channels, but we didn’t watch anything than Maui channels. We stay in Maui 2-3 times a year, so we have seen many condos, usually have to buy everything from paper towels to even pots. This condo is our first time experience when everything was prepared for us with great care and we felt welcomed with kindness, like we would host our own guests. Downstairs you can find free towels for the pool area. The beach had rocks in winter and big waives, so we walked to the left of the building to find sandy beaches or you can drive to Napili or Royal Lahaina resort. There are no words to describe the Hawaiian sunset view of Lanai other than beautiful. By far, this was the best accommodations we have stayed at in all our visits. The place is beautiful and perfect for two people. The view is magical. When there is only the top on two palm trees swaying in the breeze standing between you and the ocean, how could it not be magical? Very clean. Kitchen is perfect. Bed is extremely comfortable. One suggestion to future guests would be to be sure to lower the dark see-thru shades in the late afternoon. It helps out tremendously in keeping the place cool. From the moment of arrival where lights were on and a nice welcome gift was waiting, it was warm and inviting. Everything was clean and in good working order. The view is spectacular! We walked every day and because you’re so close to other resorts, it was fun to walk along the boardwalk path close to the beach and see the ocean and other nice restaurants. It was attractively decorated and everything you need for a wonderful Hawaiian vacation was in the condo waiting for you. We've always loved the location. With the completion of the boardwalk we can know walk the entire Kannapali beach. The Mahana is walking distance to shopping, restaurants, coffee, an open market and the most wonderful small Hawaiian church and it is a short drive to Lahaina. The bed is very comfy, and you have great views from both the bedroom and living room. The condo is well stocked with kitchen utensils and beach gear. The condo proved to be a very comfortable home away from home for our 8-night stay. We booked it because of its ocean front location and large lanai, and it did not disappoint on that score - the views are spectacular and we enjoyed spending a lot of time on the (very private) lanai looking at those gorgeous vistas, especially the sunsets. It would be nice, however, if the condo came with comfy balcony chairs (not just a dining table and chairs). The kitchen was very well equipped and had everything we needed - after a trip to Costco we ate most of our meals and drank many glasses of wine on our ocean view lanai. A Keurig coffee maker comes with a supply of coffee (but it's not local coffee) and a welcome gift of local sweet treats. The condo also comes with boogie boards, beach chairs, a cooler, an umbrella and good quality beach towels, which we took full advantage of. We also loved having a washer and dryer, which we also used several times. The condo is within a few minutes of Duke's restaurant (had an awesome sunset dinner there), and about a 30-40 minute walk from the Kaanapali resort hotels, restaurants, and Whalers Village shops. There is also a grocery store located right across the street, as well as other shops and restaurants nearby. You can't really use the beach directly in front of the building (it's under water for much of the time and the sea is quite rough here), but it's just a short walk to where you can set yourself up for a relaxing beach day. We enjoyed taking morning walks along the board walk, which takes you down to the main resort/restaurant area. Since we arrived in the evening, we had no personal contact with the property management company, other than timely texts welcoming us and giving instructions on how to access the condo. The property is a short driving distance from some beautiful beaches, and about a 10 minute drive from Lahaina. Would highly recommend Mahana 608! Show more Show less Amanda B.
• Mar 11, 2025 Exceeded Our Expectations! This property far exceeded our expectations. The description and pictures are very accurate. As you walk into 609 , if the view doesn't knock you off your feet, check your pulse and see a doctor. We woke up every morning to enjoy the 10 star view and saw many turtles almost every day. There are many good views in Maui , however , this is one of the best due to the large bay windows and lovely balcony. The unit is very clean and updated unlike many other condos in this area. Check the closet for all the beach amenities/chairs you will need to enjoy a day at the beach with your guests. The A/C is mandatory and much appreciated for your family , you will need it on hot days! Not only is there a nice beach for snorkelling right outside the Mahana, you are within close range of Napili, Kapalua and a massive coral reef approximately one major street south. The beach was the main selling point for my family and we were not disappointed. There is a nice breakfast place (Slappy Cakes) , grocery store, Maui Surfboards/ snorkel rentals and various other stores as well as a upscale nice shopping mall in Whaler's Village all nearby! Jeremy and Megan went out of their way to make sure all bases were covered , providing tennis rackets and answering all questions. I would HIGHLY recommend this rental .
