Welcome to Iron Mountain Lodge by Gather, a serene hideaway set on over 10 acres of picturesque land, nestled quietly near Highway 26, Sandy, OR. This expansive retreat offers a unique blend of privacy and accessibility, making it an ideal base for exploring the Mt. Hood region's abundant outdoor and adventure activities.
As you step through the door, the lodge's warm atmosphere envelops you, highlighted by vaulted cathedral ceilings and an abundance of natural light streaming through oversized windows. The main living area, centered around a large fireplace and a 75” TV, promises cozy evenings or movie nights with loved ones. For those mixing leisure with work, a desk area with Starlink wifi caters to your connectivity needs, while a special nook for kids features a play kitchen and toys, ensuring everyone finds their space here.
The heart of the lodge is the gourmet kitchen, equipped with everything a chef might need, including two refrigerators and extensive counter space. The kitchen island with barstools makes for a sociable cooking and dining experience. Meals can be savored in the formal dining area, which accommodates six, or in the breakfast nook, surrounded by tranquil views of the surrounding trees and wildlife. A convenient half bath is located near the laundry room, which provides additional access to the porch and driveway.
The main level's primary suite is a sanctuary of comfort, offering a king bed, an ensuite bathroom with a jetted soaking tub, and its own private deck access. The upper floor hosts a loft area, perfect for additional guests, and a second master suite with a king bed and ensuite bathroom. Two more bedrooms on this level share a full bathroom, one designed for fun with bunk beds and a futon, and the other with twin XL beds, ensuring plenty of space and privacy for all.
The lower-level game room is where memories are made, featuring a pool table, foosball, shuffleboard, and arcade games. This space opens to a covered area with a picnic table, and outdoor hot tub, leading to a wood-burning fire pit and a basketball court, making it an ideal setting for entertainment and relaxation.
Iron Mountain's location offers easy access to an array of activities. From kayaking at Trillium Lake and white-water rafting to mountain biking and winter sports, the lodge is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. Just a 45-minute drive from Portland and PDX airport, and close to Sandy and Welches for convenient shopping and dining options.
Sleeping arrangements include a king bed with a portable crib and air mattress in the primary suite, another king bed with an air mattress in the second suite, and additional comfortable accommodations in the third and fourth bedrooms. The property is pet-friendly for two dogs, providing high-speed internet, a game room, and an extensive outdoor area for enjoyment.
Iron Mountain Lodge by Gather is not just a vacation rental; it's a gateway to the best of the Oregon outdoors, combining luxury living with the natural beauty of the Sandy area. Whether you're seeking adventure or relaxation, this lodge offers the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable stay.
Please note that this property's designated smoking area is located under the green covered area which includes two chairs and an ashtray. There is absolutely no smoking permitted on the home's deck/patio or within 20 feet of open windows and/or doors.
Pet Friendly - Guests traveling with pets will be responsible for the pet fee of $50 per pet per night, up to two dogs, no other pets are allowed in the home.
