Welcome to the Iron Mountain Lodge, a grand and luxurious 4-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom home nestled on 10 acres of woodland in the picturesque nature of Mount Hood, neighboring the Mount Hood National Forest and Windells Ski Camp. This spacious home offers an array of renowned outdoor recreational activities right outside your doorstep, with immaculate interior design, comfortable furnishings, and ample amenities waiting for you when you return to your home-away-from-home after a fun-filled day of adventuring in the Great Pacific Northwest wilderness.

Upon entering the home, the large living room boasts a wealth of natural light and cathedral ceilings. Enjoy cozy nights of entertainment and family fun gathered around the large sectional sofa and ottoman with a 65" Smart TV, board games, books, puzzles, a warm fireplace, and spectacular views out of the high windows to the forest scenery beyond. Make sure to say hello to Uncle Buck hanging on the wall, and turn on his twinkle lights at night for special occasions. Behind the living area is a kids' zone with a small table and a kids' kitchen for playtime.

The spacious gourmet kitchen comes outfitted with all stainless steel appliances, ample counter space, a large kitchen island with barstools for entertaining guests, and ample kitchen supplies for any chef to feel comfortable whipping up some delicious gourmet meals to be enjoyed at the formal dining table that seats six guests. There is also a small breakfast nook in the kitchen with a table set for 4 to soak up the morning's tranquility. A half-bath is located just off the dining area and adjacent to the laundry area. You will find a second full-size fridge, a washer and dryer unit, and complimentary detergent and dryer sheets.

The Primary bedroom (downstairs master) comes with a plush king bed, 55" Smart TV, portable crib, master closet with additional bedding, a private deck, and an elegant private ensuite with dual vanities, walk-in shower, and a jetted soaking tub with a view of the yard. The 2nd floor Primary bedroom (upstairs master) comes with a king bed, large Smart TV, deck access, and a private ensuite including dual vanities and a shower/tub combo. The Little Bears Room comes with a twin-over-full bunk bed, a sofa that converts into a full futon, and plenty of toys, including a Teepee with twinkle lights for endless fun. The Bigger Bears Room comes with two twin XL beds, and two chairs in the hallways can convert into beds to accommodate additional guests for sleepovers in any room needed.

Venture down to the game room for an engaging, fun night with a pool table, foosball, Pac-man, pinball machine, and shuffleboard. With a small electric fireplace and a bar area with bar stools, this is the perfect place to unwind with a cocktail and enjoy good company and good fun. Step outside the home to enjoy the large wrap-around raised deck equipped with outdoor furniture, a barbecue grill station, and spectacular views of the surrounding forestry. On the ground level, there is a picnic table area. From there, guests can stroll the expansive nature of the private property, including the firepit with seating – perfect for campfire nights amidst marshmallows and the starlit sky!

Around the front of the house are the 2-car garage and a basketball hoop for some lighthearted basketball games. The neighborhood is tranquil and peaceful, with plenty of space to yourself, but we ask that you be mindful of your distant neighbors and not play loud music that could carry through the neighborhood.

Iron Mountain is located about an hour from downtown Portland and PDX airport. This stellar location gives you convenient access to beautiful parks, waterfalls, hot springs, wildlife, and wildflowers. Popular summer activities range from kayaking at Trillium Lake and white water rafting the Deschutes River to horseback riding, mountain biking, and tubing. Winter activities such as skiing and snowboarding are also abundant, as well as snowshoeing and Cosmic tubing. Iron Mountain is located across from the only access road leading to the famous Barlow Trail bike/hiking path and is next to the world-renowned 28-acre private campus of Windells Ski Camp.

With snow prevalent during the winter, we keep our driveways as clear as possible. Chains for your car are also required for travel during the winter to navigate the mountain roads; however, you will not need chains to travel to this cabin. Shuttles go up to the mountain ski areas, with the pickup location being just all along Hwy 26. Scheduled pickups and drop-offs must be researched in advance.
