The area is very nice and quiet and we walked around to get exercise and felt very safe. We used the grills one night. The condo was really clean and had everything you could possibly need. We enjoyed the spacious well appointed unit, the peace and quiet of the community, the convenience to both dining and grocery options and the proximity to Kahaluu beach for snorkeling. The unit is thoughtfully furnished and supplied, especially if someone in your party has mobility challenges. The Gather team was very detailed, responsive and accommodating. They arranged for us to check-in a little early, which was greatly appreciated after an early morning and long flight. Liam with the Gather team even let us know how we could access some of the resort amenities before check-in. This is definitely a location we could consider staying at again . Bridget A
  • Apr 26, 2025 These folks are setting the standard. I got this place for my father to have a view from the bed, and me to be close to the beach. I bought a beach chair straight from the airport. I ended up returning the beach chair after my 3 week stay because I didn't use it once; I didn't need to go anywhere to enjoy the view, and my dad got to see lots of little birds who stopped by everyday in the yard and would walk right up to you in addition to the sea right from his bed. However, what most impressed me was how well stocked the place was. It had every cooking utensil, pan, ect that you could think of, and the appliances were all high end. Literally everything we needed was already there, freaking batteries I was about to go buy were already waiting for me in a drawer! I travel a lot and I have never seen so much thought given to all the little things. These folks are setting the standard. Leon P

  • Dec 07, 2024 Had a lovely stay on the Big Island at this very nice 2 bedroom unit right on the water in Kona. e just needed the 1 bedroom, but we booked at the last minute and I absolutely needed the sunset views to the west, so we had plenty of extra room (lets be honest, a 1 bed/2 bath is actually the perfect size). Why fly all the way out there and stare at a pool from your patio. The complex is nice, with some tennis/pickleball courts and a small pool. There looks to be a beach, but we didn't go to it. The rest of the shore line is rocky, but there are plenty of other places a very short drive including one of the most reliable places to spot turtles. Every morning we would get up, make a little bite and coffee, watch the sea and figure out the plans for the day. Nearly every night we were back to make dinner and catch the sunset with a cocktail or two. The kitchen is nice and spacious, with a decent sized living room, a dining room table, and a patio seating/dining area. Matt H

There were a few issues such as the washing machine would not unlatch after it was done and we could not get our clothing out without starting a new cycle, there were old coffee grounds left in the coffee machine, and there was a dirty stain on the sheets in one of the bedrooms. We also chose to do the late checkout option which was an extra 50% of our base room rate. Even though we were told it was confirmed, the door codes were not extended and the cleaners still showed up in the afternoon. Overall, even with these small issues, it was a nice place to stay. Very well-equipped kitchen and we used it every night for lovely dinners on the lanai overlooking the sea. One evening we watched a young man propose to his girl at sunset on the rocks in front of us (champagne & videography included). Doesn't get any more charming. Appreciated the recreation gear available for guests. The resort grounds were well-kept. The local chickens, cats, and colorful finches show no fear of humans and are fun to watch while sipping coffee in the morning. Highly recommend this unit! SALLY O

  • Jun 27, 2024 This was the perfect place! It was out of the crazy tourist part of Kona proper, was very clean, had some good pantry staples (oil, seasonings, coffee/filters), and amazing views. I did a lot of research on condos and here is what makes this one stand out: air conditioning, beach/snorkel gear, easy parking, and some extra things to do in case you need them - some historic cultural sites on property, close beaches (scenic, not for swimming) and ping pong/tennis/volleyball. The location in the complex was good, as it is in building 1 (close to complex amenities) and on the first floor, so you could easily walk out to the beach, picnic table by a very scenic area, and the nearby beach. The only minor issue is that the bedroom attached to the lanai had beautiful Japanese style screen doors so the light showed through to the living room. If you were using the sofa bed the light goes right through and the screens don't offer much privacy. It was great for 2 bedrooms (4 people). Stephanie C

Only draw back is you cannot control the people above you and during our stay we got someone who smoked on their lanai and made it hard to sit on our lanai during their stay. Most people were respectful above us but the last 3 days of our stay was not as nice because of the last people that stayed there. Still would give it a 5 star. Putting a couple comfortable loungers out on Lanai would make it even better. One of the best places we stayed charilyn M

Oct 27, 2024 The location was very nice and the place was mostly clean. There were a few issues such as the washing machine would not unlatch after it was done and we could not get our clothing out without starting a new cycle, there were old coffee grounds left in the coffee machine, and there was a dirty stain on the sheets in one of the bedrooms. We also chose to do the late checkout option which was an extra 50% of our base room rate. Even though we were told it was confirmed, the door codes were not extended and the cleaners still showed up in the afternoon. Overall, even with these small issues, it was a nice place to stay. Aug 21, 2024 The professionalism of a five star hotel combined with the comfort and privacy of home. We had a very easy and peaceful stay. Waking up to the sounds and sight of the ocean is so serene. Jul 19, 2024 This condo was a perfect choice for two couples vacationing together. TWO comfortable king beds. Ground floor. Very well-equipped kitchen and we used it every night for lovely dinners on the lanai overlooking the sea. One evening we watched a young man propose to his girl at sunset on the rocks in front of us (champagne & videography included). Doesn't get any more charming. Appreciated the recreation gear available for guests. The resort grounds were well-kept. The local chickens, cats, and colorful finches show no fear of humans and are fun to watch while sipping coffee in the morning. Highly recommend this unit! SALLY O

Jun 27, 2024 This was the perfect place! It was out of the crazy tourist part of Kona proper, was very clean, had some good pantry staples (oil, seasonings, coffee/filters), and amazing views. I did a lot of research on condos and here is what makes this one stand out: air conditioning, beach/snorkel gear, easy parking, and some extra things to do in case you need them - some historic cultural sites on property, close beaches (scenic, not for swimming) and ping pong/tennis/volleyball. The location in the complex was good, as it is in building 1 (close to complex amenities) and on the first floor, so you could easily walk out to the beach, picnic table by a very scenic area, and the nearby beach. The only minor issue is that the bedroom attached to the lanai had beautiful Japanese style screen doors so the light showed through to the living room. If you were using the sofa bed the light goes right through and the screens don't offer much privacy. It was great for 2 bedrooms (4 people). Stephanie C
Feb 01, 2024 This was the perfect place for us to stay , beds were so comfortable and thankful for two king size beds. View was beautiful and we watched whales while sitting on our Lanai . Only draw back is you cannot control the people above you and during our stay we got someone who smoked on their lanai and made it hard to sit on our lanai during their stay. Most people were respectful above us but the last 3 days of our stay was not as nice because of the last people that stayed there. Still would give it a 5 star. Putting a couple comfortable loungers out on Lanai would make it even better. One of the best places we stayed charilyn M
