Aug 26, 2025 clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The host was incredibly responsive and friendly, making communication smooth and stress free from start to finish. The place was exactly as described - clean, comfortable, and well equipped. It’s clear the host puts thought and care into making guests feel welcome. Nov 25, 2024 Coastal Lookout was the ideal home for our holiday getaway — perfect for our multi-generation family. The view is amazing, location is convenient, neighborhood is exclusive, above the fray, peaceful and walkable. Spaces are comfortable, with enough room for gathering or privacy. Outdoor areas are fantastic. Decor is tasteful. Kitchen has everything you need to prepare gourmet meals. The host was very responsive to our needs and requests. Leslie Rudawsky

Apr 09, 2024 Amazing Stay at La Jolla We recently rented a luxury beach house in La Jolla and couldn’t be more impressed with the personal customer service provided by Gather. Upon inquiring about the property I received a call from the property manager who made the entire rental experience easy and convenient. I needed baby equipment at the house and I was provided with a concierge service that had everything at the home before arriving. In addition a property representative met us at the home to show us around and give us tips on the home. The home was spotless and exactly as advertised. Beats VRBO and any major vacation rental agency. All my future vacation rentals will be used through Gather. Carol C.

Dec 27, 2021 Great The views are outstanding from just about every outdoor seating area and most of the top floor. The house itself was laid out beautifully. With the common areas upstairs and bedrooms downstairs, naps were undisturbed. The location of La Jolla offered easy access to SD historical district, Balboa park and obviously it’s beaches, etc. Grocery shopping, etc was nearby. We especially appreciated the binder provided recommending restaurants, attractions and basic operations of the home from thermostats to the rice maker. Kitchen was well stocked from dishes to electrical appliances, a very nice touch. The welcoming gift of flowers, wine, and other goodies were wonderful. Your greeter, Lucy, met us upon arrival and answered our questions. She was very pleasant. The home was clean. We had no difficulty entering the house and probably didn’t require a greeter but we weren’t sure at the time we requested her. The neighbors were very friendly. This was a marvelous family gathering and we hope to do it again. One child age 4 thoroughly enjoyed her visit. Dorey Z

Counter seating at the island with prep sink, dishwasher and wine cooler allow for entertaining while watching the chefs. This kitchen flows seamlessly to the family room with breakfast nook seating 4, beautiful modern dining area with seating for 6, and glass fireplace open to the living room. The overall floor plan and functionality of this home will impress every guest with multiple living areas for everyone to enjoy while still feeling connected.
Each of the 4 large bedrooms have full ensuite bathrooms, walk-in closets, large flat-screen smart TVs, seating areas and writing desks. The first is located on the entry level. French doors provide a private entry to a large bright and airy bedroom with a King size bed, a large comfortable chair that converts to a Twin bed, blinds on all windows for privacy, full primary bathroom with shower/tub combination, walk-in closet, flat-screen TV, and a writing desk. It is perfect for someone who prefers a large bedroom on the same floor as the entry, kitchen, dining and living areas without encountering stairs.
Off this bedroom is a cozy family room with a modern glass fireplace in a 40’s style corner, large flat-screen TV, a Queen size sleeper sofa, and a breakfast nook with seating for 4. A modern half bathroom is located convenient to the entry, dining room, and kitchen.
The remaining three Suites are located on the downstairs second floor. The Primary Bedroom Suite is stunning, with a King size bed and tall headboard, a spacious sofa seating area, large flat-screen TV, modern glass fireplace and amazing ocean views. Enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning while lounging on your private balcony watching the colorful kayaks gliding between La Jolla Shores and the Cove. Life just doesn't get any better than this!

This property is intended for use by responsible adults and their families. There is a zero tolerance policy for parties, excessive noise and events. This home is equipped with noise monitoring systems and the noise ordinance will be strictly enforced.
No outside noise after 10pm, otherwise the police will be called and the violation will result in immediate eviction and $1,000.00 fine.
Please be aware every reservation check in must be met in person with a greeter from the property management company, self-check ins are not allowed. Our cut off for arrivals to check in is 8:00 p.m. after which a greeter will be available to meet at the property for access starting at 8:00 a.m. the following day. ID verification showing that the person checking in is the same as the credit card used on the reservation is mandatory. Failure to provide ID verification as requested will result in the cancellation of the reservation.
