There were lots of beautiful lizards but we did actually see a couple cock roaches running up the walls outside once it started getting dark outside but I imagine it’s hard to not have a few with the weather in Hawaii. Being in walking distance to Queen’s Bath was amazing! I highly recommend that little hike down to it but be sure if waters to wavy to stay out of the water! The house had so much room and plenty of kitchen utensils which was very handy. Stuff to take down to the ocean for the kids too which was GREAT! 10/10 recommend Whitney R

It was wonderful to have multiple hangout locations in and around the home. It was great to have all the beach toys and accoutrements right on sight, which made family beach days easy. The neighborhood is safe and quiet - except for the roosters the start their mornings at around 3:30AM, which is pretty much everywhere on the island : D I would definitely bring my family back for a stay at this home! Description

Welcome to Hale Ohia, where you will feel right at home here in the paradise of Hawaii along Kauai’s stunning North Shore. Located just above the Queen’s Bath tidepool, this 6 bedroom, 3 bathroom 3-story home hosts up to 12 people in a nuanced design that combines elements of old Hawaii with new contemporary touches, perfect for large groups or families to bask in tropical bliss.

There is ample airflow throughout the home with plenty of vaulted ceilings, ceiling fans, and natural light pouring in. The spacious kitchen is outfitted with an array of modern stainless steel appliances and multi-tiered counter space to make any chef feel comfortable cooking up delicious meals. Adjacent to the kitchen, the dining area includes a table fit for 10, and the living room includes various seating arrangements and a large television for entertainment while gazing out at the ocean through the large windows. The large covered wrap-around lanai (porch) is the perfect place to lounge from sunrise to sunset, overlooking the beautiful blue waters below, and the lush tropical flora that surrounds Hale Ohia. Discover the large swimming pool in the back of the home, with shallow and deep levels, a covered table, beach lounge chairs, and manicured tropical plants poolside – it’s the perfectly private place to soak up some serious Hawaiian sun.

The master bedroom comes with a King bed, vaulted ceilings, ceiling fan, and a private lanai (porch) with marvelous views of the ocean. The master private ensuite bathroom comes with a large vanity entryway, as well as a soaking tub, a dual vanity sink and a walk-in shower with tiling and ocean views. Guest bedroom 2 has a Queen bed, ceiling fan, direct access to the back deck, counter space, ocean views and a private ensuite bathroom. Up the spiral staircase you’ll find guest bedroom 3 which is furnished with a lofted twin bed and a play area, ceiling fan, as well as partial ocean and mountain views. Guest bedroom 4 boasts a King bed, ceiling fan and tropical garden views. Guest bedroom 5 includes 2 twin beds, tropical garden views and a ceiling fan. Finally, guest bedroom 6 comes with a Queen bed, ceiling fan, partial garden and ocean views, and access to the shared guest bathroom. There is a laundry room with your own in-unit washer and dryer, as well as an additional fridge for ample storage space.

Hale Ohia is a 45 minute drive to downtown Lihue and to Lihue Airport. Situated close to the Kuhio Highway, it is easy for guests to explore the many treasures around the island of Kauai including Waimea Canyon, the Na Pali coast, downtown Lihue, old town Koloa, as well as Kauai’s many fascinating beaches and lush interior forests. Or stay close to home and explore the many restaurants, shops, and entertainment attractions located right in Princeville, not to mention the Queen’s Bath tidepool that is within walking distance from Hale Ohia.
