  • Feb 12, 2026 Our stay was wonderful. The unit has been updated and looks great, it’s decorated very cute. They take amazing care of the landscaping, bbq area and pools. The unit had everything we needed to cook or go to the beach. The saltwater pool is wonderful! We were always able to find loungers. It’s private snd secluded, it’s behind a little strip mall. The only two exceptions were that there were no steak knives, and we grilled a lot. The other being was no cooler available, which I’ve always had in other condos, so we bought one. Those are small issues to deal with in paradise though. There’s limited parking within the gated condo but plenty outside the gate and we were fine parking there. I do wish they would add a few additional handicap parking spots though. It’s obvious the HOA cares a lot about the property, so clean, raked the sand every morning, cleaned the grills every morning. The unit was perfect for our stay and I would stay again. Emily C

Dank der klaren Instruktionen sind der Check-In, der Aufenthalt und der Check-Out ganz einfach. Zur Verfügung stehen einem unter anderem Spülmaschinentabs, Waschmittel, Tupperware, Strandstühle, etc. Wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Bis auf eine Kleinigkeit war alles äußerst sauber. There was a water emergency at the complex that left us without hot water, gather was able to find accommodations for showers that were close and walkable within the complex. I did have to ask for updates but was quickly responded to when I did. Gather went above and beyond to make things right with the water situation and I would gladly book again with this place thanks to Nick the property service manager. 5/5 Ryan S

It was fun getting to know the other guests and residents in the complex. I do want to note that it is definitely an older crowd but it was nice that it was quiet all of the time. We loved it!   • Aug 22, 2025 The place was great and had everything you needed. You could’ve stayed there the whole time if you wanted. Salt water pool was great. Bed comfortable, had extra linens and towels. Nice to have washer/dryer in unit. The neighbors are friendly but also not intrusive. Parking is convenient.   • Jan 03, 2025 We had a such a wonderful stay at Casa de Emdeko. The location is perfect and the property is beautiful, with lush grounds, 2 pools (one salt-water pool right at the edge of the ocean), and a fun lanai where guests hang out and bbq - a great vibe! Our favorite spot was the man-made beach area next to the salt-water pool and right at the edge of where the waves rolled in. And there were always enough lounge chairs there too. The condo is well-equipped, with a remodeled kitchen and a really comfortable king bed. The space is great for 2 people, with a nice, if a bit small, living area.The smart TVs work well (good to have one in the bedroom), and the outdoor eating area is lovely. WiFi worked well and we had no problems at all. Some other nice things to mention are that there’s a farmer’s market in walking distance, and town is a 5-10 minute drive. There is also a very well stocked convenience store right on the property – the very definition of convenience! We’ll definitely be back. Linda B

There's both a chlorine and saltwater pool -- the salt water pool is right near the ocean. The condo was clean, with all the amenities we'd need for a 2 week vacation (laundry, dishwasher, etc). Nice backdoor patio to relax and check out the snails and lizards. Overall, was the perfect spot for our vacation in Kona. Josh M

The apartment was well equipped and updated with a modern feel, great to have the in unit washer and dryer ( both of which ran very quietly ) It was nice that the complex had its own private beach area (manmade ) with loungers and tables , and palm trees for a little shade, as well a large covered outdoor seating area. Gather was great to work with, very quick to respond to any questions/requests. Definitely recommend the unit/complex. Muriel S

Unit #104 was great for us with our limited mobility issues. The management team at Gather was super responsive to address our concerns about the ants and about the need for additional towels. And when the gate codes changed they had replacement codes available when we called. I would love to stay there again in the future! Tammy H

We LOVE IT! This unit is tucked back so you don’t get a view or hear much of the beach but you are ground level with is SO nice. You can walk right out your lanai door to the pools / beach / cabana. They provided all the cooking/kitchen amenities and beach amenities making it a great stay for the longer period. We were able to make our breakfasts each morning and not have to waste time finding a restaurant. They provided beach chairs, boogie boards, noodles, and an ice chest. The ice chest with an ice pack were a huge plus, so we could pack lunches each day for our adventures around the island. The mattress was comfy which was great for so many nights. They were very communicative, sent clear instructions, and sent us things to do and their partner companies to help make the stay wonderful. Only gripe is the walls are paper thin. Sep 12, 2025 We had an amazing stay! We loved having a ground floor unit for easy access to the pool and bbq. The condo was nicely appointed with everything that we needed! It was fun getting to know the other guests and residents in the complex. I do want to note that it is definitely an older crowd but it was nice that it was quiet all of the time. We loved it! Aug 22, 2025 The place was great and had everything you needed. You could’ve stayed there the whole time if you wanted. Salt water pool was great. Bed comfortable, had extra linens and towels. Nice to have washer/dryer in unit. The neighbors are friendly but also not intrusive. Parking is convenient. Jan 03, 2025 We had a such a wonderful stay at Casa de Emdeko. The location is perfect and the property is beautiful, with lush grounds, 2 pools (one salt-water pool right at the edge of the ocean), and a fun lanai where guests hang out and bbq - a great vibe! Our favorite spot was the man-made beach area next to the salt-water pool and right at the edge of where the waves rolled in. And there were always enough lounge chairs there too. The condo is well-equipped, with a remodeled kitchen and a really comfortable king bed. The space is great for 2 people, with a nice, if a bit small, living area.The smart TVs work well (good to have one in the bedroom), and the outdoor eating area is lovely. WiFi worked well and we had no problems at all. Some other nice things to mention are that there’s a farmer’s market in walking distance, and town is a 5-10 minute drive. There is also a very well stocked convenience store right on the property – the very definition of convenience! We’ll definitely be back. Linda B

The sunsets were amazing, and the neighbors were friendly and welcoming. The condo was equipped with all the necessary amenities, making the stay comfortable and convenient. Aug 28, 2024 Stayed here with my sister and brother in law, and we all enjoyed it very much!! Had an issue with AC vent leaking water but someone was sent to fix it shortly after I notified them. Location was absolutely beautiful and very peaceful and quiet! Angela E
Aug 08, 2024 Wonderful location, maybe a 20-30 minute walk from downtown and right on the ocean. Other guests and tenants were friendly. There's both a chlorine and saltwater pool -- the salt water pool is right near the ocean. The condo was clean, with all the amenities we'd need for a 2 week vacation (laundry, dishwasher, etc). Nice backdoor patio to relax and check out the snails and lizards. Overall, was the perfect spot for our vacation in Kona. Josh M

Feb 28, 2024 Wonderful experience staying here, family of four. The unit was clean, and the complex is very well maintained. Kids really enjoyed the pools! We used the grills for a couple meals (a nice amenity), and met some of the other residents and everyone was friendly. We enjoyed our stay, and would stay here again. Kim C
Nov 28, 2023 Lovely apartment and quiet condo complex. The apartment was well equipped and updated with a modern feel, great to have the in unit washer and dryer ( both of which ran very quietly ) It was nice that the complex had its own private beach area (manmade ) with loungers and tables , and palm trees for a little shade, as well a large covered outdoor seating area. Gather was great to work with, very quick to respond to any questions/requests. Definitely recommend the unit/complex. Muriel S
Nov 12, 2023 Casa de Emdeko was a beautiful complex. The two pools and the grounds were great. The evening sunset conch shell horn blowing was delightful! Unit #104 was great for us with our limited mobility issues. The management team at Gather was super responsive to address our concerns about the ants and about the need for additional towels. And when the gate codes changed they had replacement codes available when we called. I would love to stay there again in the future! Tammy H

The condo was well stocked with plenty of dishes / glasses / towels etc. loved having a washer and dryer! Cute condo! Pretty improvements! We have stayed at the casa de emdeko complex 15+ times. We LOVE IT! This unit is tucked back so you don’t get a view or hear much of the beach but you are ground level with is SO nice. You can walk right out your lanai door to the pools / beach / cabana. They provided all the cooking/kitchen amenities and beach amenities making it a great stay for the longer period. We were able to make our breakfasts each morning and not have to waste time finding a restaurant. They provided beach chairs, boogie boards, noodles, and an ice chest. The ice chest with an ice pack were a huge plus, so we could pack lunches each day for our adventures around the island. The mattress was comfy which was great for so many nights. And we highly recommend watching the sunsets on the properties beach area, amazing. Tanya C

They were very communicative, sent clear instructions, and sent us things to do and their partner companies to help make the stay wonderful. Only gripe is the walls are paper thin. We had a child staying above us who would run back and forth and it would vibrate the walls. Made it hard for our toddler to sleep. But not the units fault. Kathleen J
