  • Jan 03, 2025 We had a such a wonderful stay at Casa de Emdeko. The location is perfect and the property is beautiful, with lush grounds, 2 pools (one salt-water pool right at the edge of the ocean), and a fun lanai where guests hang out and bbq - a great vibe! Our favorite spot was the man-made beach area next to the salt-water pool and right at the edge of where the waves rolled in. And there were always enough lounge chairs there too. The condo is well-equipped, with a remodeled kitchen and a really comfortable king bed. The space is great for 2 people, with a nice, if a bit small, living area.The smart TVs work well (good to have one in the bedroom), and the outdoor eating area is lovely. WiFi worked well and we had no problems at all. Some other nice things to mention are that there’s a farmer’s market in walking distance, and town is a 5-10 minute drive. There is also a very well stocked convenience store right on the property – the very definition of convenience! We’ll definitely be back. Linda Bottlik

There's both a chlorine and saltwater pool -- the salt water pool is right near the ocean. The condo was clean, with all the amenities we'd need for a 2 week vacation (laundry, dishwasher, etc). Nice backdoor patio to relax and check out the snails and lizards. Overall, was the perfect spot for our vacation in Kona. Josh Maislin

The apartment was well equipped and updated with a modern feel, great to have the in unit washer and dryer ( both of which ran very quietly ) It was nice that the complex had its own private beach area (manmade ) with loungers and tables , and palm trees for a little shade, as well a large covered outdoor seating area.   • Nov 12, 2023 Casa de Emdeko was a beautiful complex. The two pools and the grounds were great. The evening sunset conch shell horn blowing was delightful! Unit #104 was great for us with our limited mobility issues. The management team at Gather was super responsive to address our concerns about the ants and about the need for additional towels. And when the gate codes changed they had replacement codes available when we called. I would love to stay there again in the future! Tammy Heinsohn

We LOVE IT! This unit is tucked back so you don’t get a view or hear much of the beach but you are ground level with is SO nice. You can walk right out your lanai door to the pools / beach / cabana. They provided all the cooking/kitchen amenities and beach amenities making it a great stay for the longer period. We were able to make our breakfasts each morning and not have to waste time finding a restaurant. They provided beach chairs, boogie boards, noodles, and an ice chest. The ice chest with an ice pack were a huge plus, so we could pack lunches each day for our adventures around the island. The mattress was comfy which was great for so many nights. They were very communicative, sent clear instructions, and sent us things to do and their partner companies to help make the stay wonderful. Only gripe is the walls are paper thin. We had a child staying above us who would run back and forth and it would vibrate the walls. Made it hard for our toddler to sleep. But not the units fault. Kathleen Jackson

This newly remodeled 1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom ground floor condominium sleeps up to 4 guests and is located just steps away from the western shores of the Big Island of Hawaii, where guests can bask in the beauty of the glowing Hawaiian sunset over the Pacific Ocean each and every evening of their stay.

This bright and spacious unit is all brand new, featuring smooth tilework and stonework throughout the space. The kitchen and bathroom are both built with custom white Quartz countertops and custom Sapele cabinets. The open-air layout of the condo provides ample airflow and sunlight throughout the space, in addition to the central air conditioning and ceiling fans that are found throughout the home. There is a private stacked washer and dryer for use in the hallway of the unit. The kitchen is fully equipped with every appliance that a chef needs to concoct a delicious meal and includes a bar area with 4 chairs for entertaining guests while cooking. Attached to the kitchen is the charming living room, furnished with seating, a television set for a cozy night of entertainment after a busy day of island exploring, and a couch that easily converts to a Queen bed for additional sleeping arrangements for 2.

Beyond the living room through sliding glass doors is the covered lanai (porch), where guests can lounge at the outdoor table and soak up some sunshine, or draw the blinds and relax in the cool shade, all while surrounded by the finely manicured tropical flora of Casa De Emdeko’s inner courtyard and fountain. The bedroom includes a King bed with high-end bedding, a closet space, and direct access to the spa-like bathroom which features dual vanity sinks, a walk-in tiled shower with a removable shower head, and plush white towels.

During your stay at Casa De Emdeko, guests can enjoy complimentary access to the area’s 2 pools – the inner courtyard pool, as well as the oceanside saltwater pool, both equipped with beach loungers. Guests can also explore Casa De Emdeko’s classy Cabana, where you’ll be treated to ample ocean views, and can meander to the sandy sunbathing beach, the 3 large BBQ grill stations, tiki torches, and the nightly conch shell-blowing ritual at sunset to bid the sun farewell until another splendid day in paradise.

The condo was well stocked with plenty of dishes / glasses / towels etc. loved having a washer and dryer! Cute condo! Pretty improvements! We have stayed at the casa de emdeko complex 15+ times. We LOVE IT! This unit is tucked back so you don’t get a view or hear much of the beach but you are ground level with is SO nice. You can walk right out your lanai door to the pools / beach / cabana. Sep 15, 2023 We stayed here for 9 days during our trip to the Big Island. I would recommend this place if you are in the Kailua-Kona area or as a great home base on the Big Island. They provided all the cooking/kitchen amenities and beach amenities making it a great stay for the longer period. We were able to make our breakfasts each morning and not have to waste time finding a restaurant. They provided beach chairs, boogie boards, noodles, and an ice chest. The ice chest with an ice pack were a huge plus, so we could pack lunches each day for our adventures around the island. The mattress was comfy which was great for so many nights. Jun 05, 2023 The stay was absolutely perfect. The property managers made the stay. They were very communicative, sent clear instructions, and sent us things to do and their partner companies to help make the stay wonderful. Only gripe is the walls are paper thin. We had a child staying above us who would run back and forth and it would vibrate the walls. Made it hard for our toddler to sleep. But not the units fault. Kathleen Jackson

Mar 14, 2023 Location is superb. Right on the water with amazing ocean front bbq and eating area. 10/10 for amenities. Unit was upgraded really well. Wouldn’t hesitate to rebook same unit. Bed was comfortable. In suite laundry was so nice. Kitchen was perfect. Mike/Julia Hobbs
