  • Nov 16, 2023 our family stayed at the property over the Thanksgiving break. The property manager service was over and above. They offered to buy groceries and coordinate spa services. We did not take them up on it, but it was nice that they offered. The location to the private beach club was, amazing. Also, the access to the beach/fins, snorkel gear, beach chair was very nice. There are also bikes that were available, that we did not use them. Fantastic place and we would definitely stay again at the same location if we went back to the big island. Sean Mahoney

  • Mar 29, 2023 The Best Unit We have stayed at several STVR units at the Golf Villas over the last seven years. Collectively, this is our 7th unit at the Golf Villas that we have stayed in. Hands down, bar none, this is the best unit. Period. Full stop. First the unit. It is clean, bright, tastefully decorated and well-equipped. Some recent updates really make this unit stand out. All the carpet has been removed and replaced with a nice tile. Walls painted and the unit is very bright unlike several of the other units which had original tan paint, carpets and dark accents. If I had any complaint it would be the televisions are not "smart tvs". So, it was hard to stream Netflix etc. for the kiddos. Simple HDMI cord solved that issue though. So, no big deal. Otherwise, everything else was great. The beds, the linens, all very clean, new, and comfortable. Kitchen had sharp knives - a common complaint for frequent STVR renters. Next the extras. Plenty of beach towels. Lots of pool/beach equipment including, sand toys, chairs, umbrellas and snorkel gear. The unit even has 3 bicycles. All newish and in good working order. Finally, the Golf Villas. We really enjoy this property on the Mauna Lani. It's close to the beach club and golf club. It's a little further away from the grocery but we rent a golf cart to get around. So, again, no big deal. We will 100% stay here again and look forward to doing so. Thanks for the great stay!   • Feb 27, 2023 Overall, the property was great. Clean and spacious for our family of three. There were two small (and related) problems that kept us from giving 5 stars. The first was that the condo was really, really hot most of the time. Yes, Hawaii is hot but we really struggled to cool the place down, even thought it was super windy while we were there. It made for uncomfortable sleeping. The second is that the pull on the ceiling fan in the master bedroom was missing, so if you wanted to use the ceiling fan you had to leave the light on. Which - when combined with the stuffiness issue - made sleeping difficult. Robert F
