  • Jun 04, 2026 Our stay in Poipu was astonishing from start to finish. The location is unbeatable, with breathtaking balcony views and the sound of waves the whole time. We loved walking to Poipu Beach to see sea turtles, catching the sunsets, and strolling to restaurants by the water. The property had everything we needed: a well-equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, AC (so nice in Hawaii), and it was spotlessly clean. The central location made it easy to reach the places for breakfast and beaches like Shipwrecks, Poipu, and Brennecke’s, plus great dining nearby. Great value, too. The hosts provided beach chairs, an umbrella, a cooler, and towels, plus a thoughtful welcome gift. Wonderful hospitality. And the pool. Pictures don’t do it justice. Once you’re on that deck, the waves are practically crashing at you, with views almost no one else on the island has. The perfect way to end each day. Highly recommend. We can’t wait to come back. It was so fun watching the sea turtles and dolphins from our balcony. It’s a great location and so close to multiple beaches. The unit was comfortable for our family of 4 and was well stocked (towels, kitchen appliances, beach items, etc.). The host was quick to reply when we had questions or an issue arise and they addressed it immediately. We would absolutely stay here again! Michelle A

Highlights included turtle sightings while enjoying morning coffee, sunset happy hour, crashing waves and stargazing at night. Great location. Walkable to Poipu Beach with other points of interest, shops, restaurants just a short drive. Good quality beach chairs and umbrella available for use.   • Jan 29, 2026 The location was stellar. You can hear waves crashing on rocks below. It was a very short walk to brenneke and poipu beaches. We had a little confusion about where to get information- the unit is managed by a company -so they reach out to u about how to get into the condo etc. I was told to text them with any issues. The toaster was broken and there were no towels- they very promptly responded. They gave us a lovely welcome basket that included coffee, chocolate covered macadamias nuts, local granola- island treats, even a local hawaiian punch. It was very thoughtful. The beds were comfortable. the air conditioning worked very well. The kitchen had the basics and was functional. the couch was comfortable. The lanai/deck was small- it only has 2 chairs- but feels pretty private because of the way the building is built. I thought Poipu Shores was a great location. Christine D

You can’t hear neighbors. The view to the ocean is amazing, and you can hear and see the waves crashing due to the proximity. There are 2 private, separate bedrooms, with fantastic AC. Living room also has central AC. Kitchen had everything we needed, and the welcome basket was lovely. Thank you. Location: Complex is well kept and has a pool. The ocean view is just stunning. There is a gated pathway from the complex that makes the walk to the beach shorter. Breneckes is about 5-7 mins away, Poipu Beach Park about 7-10 mins away, easy trek with beach gear provided by the property. Had fun, many thanks for everything! Cinthia S
  • May 12, 2025 We absolutely loved this place and look forward to returning! I can’t say enough good about this place… the view was amazing both front and back! Gather communicated spectacularly, and we were welcomed with Hawaiian snacks, coffee, and the sounds of the ocean only steps away. Parking was not a hassle. The spots are small, but just stay between the lines, and all is well. The air conditioning was not good at first, but I figured it out, and we actually needed to use extra blankets at night, so the temperature was very comfortable. The location is perfect… we were able to drive to the northern shore multiple times within an hour and a half. Arestile G

The location is probably one of the best we've stayed at in our travels. It was extremely clean and the beds were super comfy. The kitchen was well stocked with all the items we needed. We cooked out a couple of nights on the community grill (very clean and well taken care of). We checked out the large green turtles, and a monk seal. We had some wonderful meals out, but when we cooked in a few times, there seemed to be everything that we needed. We especially liked being on the second floor, but just walking there without taking an elevator. Having AC, and a washer/dryer in the unit is a must for me in Hawaii. Thank you! Kim N

  • Oct 03, 2024 I would absolutely stay here again and recommend to anyone coming to Kauai! The view was absolutely stunning. It looked like something out of a movie, and it was just as advertised. Every morning there were turtles right outside the balcony swimming in the waves! I also loved how quiet the whole area was, you couldn’t really hear the neighbors at all and there was no loud construction or partying going on, it was so peaceful and relaxing. The only slight difficulty was the parking, sometimes it was hard to find a spot/navigate the parking lot, but we always found one in the end so it wasn’t too much of a hassle! There was also some snorkeling equipment, coolers, and beach chairs on the balcony we were able to use so we didn’t have to worry about buying some or renting some on the beach! If I come back to Kauai, I will definitely look at staying here again. I would give it at 12 out of 10!!! Elizabeth D

It is in such a special part of Kauai with views of rainbows from the balcony in the morning and seeing turtles resting on Poipu Beach! The condo has plenty of space for 4 people and the grounds are tropical with an inviting pool. The Hawaiian snacks left were thoughtful . We would definitely stay here again! Renee V

  • Sep 22, 2023 The view. The porch. The blowhole 30 feet from the porch! The sunsets! If we go back to Kauai we will stay here again. That said, I will address a few things. I was worried because the description said "street parking." There is ample parking in 3 parking lots. All but once we were able to get a space (they're tiny, rent the small car) in the bottom (nearest) lot. The other lots are near but up a hill and it's a safe walk. You do have to register your car with the office and on the weekend they're closed so I got two notices until I could get there Monday. They did not tow or boot my car. A/C -- As a southerner I'm used to A/C. The master bedroom was plently cool. The living room was never cool enough but it certainly wasn't warm. The 2nd bedroom, which we didn't need, was hot. The sofa is as uncomfortable as it looks but the chairs are comfortable. Poipu Beach at sunset to watch sea turtles come in! The Condo was perfect. Everything we needed was there. Karen N

  • Feb 12, 2023 Had a fantastic stay! Location can't be beat and the waterfront with crashing waves was second to none. We saw whales and sea turtles everyday from the balcony. The short walk to Poipu Beach was perfect. There were turtles and monk seals there everyday as well and if you wait until after sunset you may see as many as 20-50 (turtles) come up on the sand for your viewing pleasure. The hike just down the road from Shipwreck Beach to Makauwahi Cave is a must (2 miles each way). We would love to come back some day. John I

The kitchen needs a few more cereal bowls (there were only three), but is otherwise well-stocked. AC, fans, lights and showers all worked well. May 12, 2025 We absolutely loved this place and look forward to returning! I can’t say enough good about this place… the view was amazing both front and back! Gather communicated spectacularly, and we were welcomed with Hawaiian snacks, coffee, and the sounds of the ocean only steps away. Parking was not a hassle. The spots are small, but just stay between the lines, and all is well. The air conditioning was not good at first, but I figured it out, and we actually needed to use extra blankets at night, so the temperature was very comfortable. The location is perfect… we were able to drive to the northern shore multiple times within an hour and a half. Arestile G
Apr 14, 2025 Fabulous and relaxing. The balcony was the real selling point for us. We sat out there and watched the waves hit the rocky shore. It was a powerful display of the force of water, with the spray reaching several stories high when the waves would hit just right. We saw turtles in the water around the rocks. Amanda F
Mar 23, 2025 Our family thoroughly enjoyed our vacation. The view was spectacular. It was so nice being able to the park , beach, and several restaurants. The location is probably one of the best we've stayed at in our travels. It was extremely clean and the beds were super comfy. The kitchen was well stocked with all the items we needed. We cooked out a couple of nights on the community grill (very clean and well taken care of). The welcome basket was perfect. *Thanks for the info to find more of that delicious, yummy coffee in the basket. Bart S

Dec 04, 2024 We had a great time, and the location was perfect! We loved the crashing waves from the lanai, and the short walk to Poipu Beach. We checked out the large green turtles, and a monk seal. We had some wonderful meals out, but when we cooked in a few times, there seemed to be everything that we needed. We especially liked being on the second floor, but just walking there without taking an elevator. Having AC, and a washer/dryer in the unit is a must for me in Hawaii. Thank you! Kim N

Oct 03, 2024 I would absolutely stay here again and recommend to anyone coming to Kauai! The view was absolutely stunning. It looked like something out of a movie, and it was just as advertised. Every morning there were turtles right outside the balcony swimming in the waves! I also loved how quiet the whole area was, you couldn’t really hear the neighbors at all and there was no loud construction or partying going on, it was so peaceful and relaxing. The only slight difficulty was the parking, sometimes it was hard to find a spot/navigate the parking lot, but we always found one in the end so it wasn’t too much of a hassle! There was also some snorkeling equipment, coolers, and beach chairs on the balcony we were able to use so we didn’t have to worry about buying some or renting some on the beach! If I come back to Kauai, I will definitely look at staying here again. I would give it at 12 out of 10!!! Elizabeth D

Jun 13, 2024 What a wonderful location with an awesome view! This condo is a nice, scenic, short walking distance to Brennecke’s Beach and Poipu Beach. It is in such a special part of Kauai with views of rainbows from the balcony in the morning and seeing turtles resting on Poipu Beach! The condo has plenty of space for 4 people and the grounds are tropical with an inviting pool. The Hawaiian snacks left were thoughtful . We would definitely stay here again! Renee V

Sep 22, 2023 The view. The porch. The blowhole 30 feet from the porch! The sunsets! If we go back to Kauai we will stay here again. That said, I will address a few things. I was worried because the description said "street parking." There is ample parking in 3 parking lots. All but once we were able to get a space (they're tiny, rent the small car) in the bottom (nearest) lot. The other lots are near but up a hill and it's a safe walk. You do have to register your car with the office and on the weekend they're closed so I got two notices until I could get there Monday. They did not tow or boot my car. A/C -- As a southerner I'm used to A/C. The master bedroom was plently cool. The living room was never cool enough but it certainly wasn't warm. The 2nd bedroom, which we didn't need, was hot. The sofa is as uncomfortable as it looks but the chairs are comfortable. Poipu Beach at sunset to watch sea turtles come in! The Condo was perfect. Everything we needed was there. Karen N

If you’re looking to stay in south side/Poipu area, this is the spot…it’s perfect..walking distance to beach but set aside enough for privacy while being right by the water…turtles, seals, dolphins, etc. We would not hesitate to book again. Feb 12, 2023 Had a fantastic stay! Location can't be beat and the waterfront with crashing waves was second to none. We saw whales and sea turtles everyday from the balcony. The short walk to Poipu Beach was perfect. There were turtles and monk seals there everyday as well and if you wait until after sunset you may see as many as 20-50 (turtles) come up on the sand for your viewing pleasure. The hike just down the road from Shipwreck Beach to Makauwahi Cave is a must (2 miles each way). We would love to come back some day. John I
Jan 23, 2023 We like Poipu Shores. Saw a group of about 70 spinner dolphins from the lanai. Glad that oil, vinegar and spices were available in the kitchen. The kitchen needs a few more cereal bowls (there were only three), but is otherwise well-stocked. AC, fans, lights and showers all worked well. Liked the system of getting into the condo with a code rather than a key. Tricia W
