Jul 16, 2023 Walking into the gorgeous home you are welcomed by the sounds of beautiful Hawaiian music. This is a fully appointed house that is just pristine. Spices in the cabinet, Maile soaps throughout the property including shampoo and conditioner in each bathroom. Cleaning products under the kitchen sink! Coffee, chocolate covered macadamia nuts, apple bananas and a pineapple were just the most thoughtful snacks after a long trip. The outdoor living space is perfect for a small adult only family. The pool and hot tub were fantastic. Everyday we saw rainbows from the lanai. Walking distance to the shops and restaurants. We are already in the planning stages for next summer. The only negative is no access to a gym, if that is important to you. But hey, it’s vacation, get out for a daily walk, run or hike!! Private and quiet. Stephanie Tracey

Aug 12, 2022 Perfect! We are a family of four with two college-age kids. We tend to be pretty picky haha! Honu Hale was a PERFECT home for our Kauai vacation! Great location, including walking to shops and restaurants and a short drive to beaches and more. But most importantly after a day at the beach or hiking or boating it was the perfect oasis to come home to. Gorgeous decor, landscaping, and views allowed us to be completely relaxed. House has all the amenities and the ohuna is a very nice feature! Would 100% stay there again! Andrew P

Three beautifully appointed bedrooms include all the amenities needed for a comfortable visit, such as ceiling fans, large flat-screen televisions, and a full bathroom. The spacious and comfortable primary suite has a decorative and romantic four-poster canopy bed, a vintage-inspired claw foot tub, and dual vanities.
The open, well-lit, and fully functional kitchen has a large butcher block island with a breakfast bar, elegant marble countertops, subway tile backsplashes, and wide-plank wood floors that create an easy sophistication while still maintaining the relaxed tropical feel of authentic Hawaiiana.
Open the wall of sliding glass doors in the great room to reveal the true beauty of indoor/outdoor living. Just outside, the covered lanai provides an open-air dining space, perfect for morning coffee or a relaxed lunch. Take a few more steps down to the private pool area, where you can curl up for a nap in an inviting lounge chair, put some steaks on the BBQ grill, unwind in the hot tub, or take a refreshing dip in the pool. The lush and colorful native landscaping serves as a privacy fence for the entire outdoor area-making true relaxation come easy.
From this south Kauai vacation rental home, guests can easily access scenic, sunny beaches. Find calm swimming conditions nearby at the iconic Poipu Beach, family-friendly Kiahuna Beach, quaint Baby Beach, breathtaking Mahaulepu, and the local favorite beach at Kukuiula Harbor.
A walking path leads directly to the Shops at Kukui`ula, home of fine dining, interesting shops, and galleries, as well as more casual restaurants, live music, hula shows, and a gourmet farmers’ market. A wide range of vacation adventures and tours are available nearby, including snorkeling, stand-up paddling, surfing, whale watching (in season), hiking, horseback riding, and golf. A quick car ride enables guests to explore historic Old Koloa Town and Spouting Horn, while a slightly longer drive leads to attractions like the awe-inspiring Waimea Canyon and the extraordinary beauty of the North Shore.
Please note that our community is in fact so new that parts of it continue to be under construction. However, we do not anticipate disruption to our guests. Please feel free to inquire with our reservations manager if you have questions.
Please note that a construction project projected to take between 12 and 14 months will be underway at the property next door beginning 9/25/2023.
A mandatory mid-stay cleaning applies to all reservations for stays 14 nights or longer.
This rental does not provide access to the Club at Kukui'ula.
Please note that the air conditioning in the main house is currently out of service. However, there are portable AC units available in the bedrooms and living area to ensure your comfort. The Ohana unit's air conditioning is fully functional. We are offering a 10-20% discount on the rate due to this inconvenience.
