Green space for my toddler to run around safely. Indoor/outdoor living. Beautiful sunset views. There were 7 of us, and we didn’t feel crowded. We had ample space to spread out. Beds were cozy. TVs were smart TVs. Hosts were very proactive, professional, and responsive. Felt as if I was staying in a 5 star resort.   • Dec 06, 2023 Honestly we were so blessed by this amazing home and location. The size was perfect for our family (2 bedrooms and the Ohana was perfect along with the powder bath). From the moment we walked into this magical home we were amazing by the cleanliness, quality of finishes, and overall the amenities and location. The pool and ocean view was perfect. Coffee with the sunrise and dinner at sunset was magical. The location being just outside the city was perfect. We didn't want to be in the heart of all the action but loved the walkability (only 20 mins) to shops and coffee and dinner. The short walk up Diamond Head to the light house for the sunrise was epic and a highlight each day. The beach access just a few houses down the street was amazing. We loved the local beach and slow vibes. We stayed here for the Marathon and loved the location. It was so easy and really fun to watch the racers go by when we finished. The property managers were very attentive and the owner was great about replacing a few things that naturally broke when we were there (umbrella broke and a new showed up hours later). This is a 5 Star home and location. Thanks for allowing us to stay their!!!! Cameron C

  • Oct 14, 2023 My wife and I took my Mom on her dream vacation to Hawaii and we couldn’t have picked a better house. Located in Diamond head it was fantastic location and close to everything from downtown Waikiki to easy access to the eastern side of Oahu. The house was stunning as it opens up directly to the ocean and has a walkway that leads down to a catwalk right on the water. If you walk right or left on the catwalk you will come to small parks with trees for hammacks and beach access. Air conditioning was great and kept the house cool when needed. Pool was also great as well and very clean. Parking area is EXTREMELY tight with a shared driveway and especially if you bring a bigger or longer vehicle you will test your parking skills. Helps to open the garage and pull your vehicle in just a bit to then back up and get your vehicle in. Do wish they would have provided some coffee of some type for arriving guests. All in all it was a great experience and hosts are very responsive! Kris R

  • Jun 23, 2023 Had a great time at Hale Makai. Having the concierge service to contact with any issues was a great bonus. The views are stunning, the pool is a great alternative as you can't swim right out front. Easy walk to many places such as parks or down to Waikiki. We hosted a family gathering for my extended family from Australia one evening and booked the Private Chefs on offer for the night. It was brilliant! To bring family together in such a great setting was the perfect end to our family reunion. Maria C

The house is beautifully kept and had many extras that most others don’t such as beach chairs, a wagon, bikes, sunscreens, towels, all the little things. We enjoyed early morning coffee sitting at the stone wall watching the waves crash over the reefs. So thankful we got a chance to stay here for part of our visit. Carie S

  • Jan 08, 2023 We loved everything about our stay here. The home itself is beautiful and the location is great. It’s close enough to the action but far enough away to have some privacy. It was nice to have access to beach gear and toys as well as bikes. We enjoyed hanging out at the pool and sitting in the backyard listening to the crashing waves and watching sunsets. Checking in and out was super easy and we had no issues, everything was great. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this property! Jeff F
  • May 21, 2021 Ahhhhhmazzzing The pics of this property are stunning, but seeing this property in person will amaze you. Grant was our property manager and we managed to lock ourselves out of one of the gates (because we didn’t read the instructions thoroughly). Grant came over right away and helped us out. He gave us a tour of the property and was easy to communicate with throughout the trip. He truly made the experience better than we dreamed! The kitchen was complete with all the appliances, utensils, and cooking needs. There’s a washer/dryer, bikes, floaties, boogie boards in the garage for use. Tons of beach towels too! The location is perfect because it is right at the beginning of Diamond Head towards the end of Waikiki. Convenience is everything. You don’t need to sacrifice choosing a home with a pool or beach because this property has both. We couldn’t help but take sooooo many pics in the backyard because it felt like every hour was “golden hour”. Will definitely be booking this place again, cannot wait to return. Jessica I

It was nice to have access to beach gear and toys as well as bikes. We enjoyed hanging out at the pool and sitting in the backyard listening to the crashing waves and watching sunsets. Checking in and out was super easy and we had no issues, everything was great. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this property! Jeff F
May 21, 2021 Ahhhhhmazzzing The pics of this property are stunning, but seeing this property in person will amaze you. Grant was our property manager and we managed to lock ourselves out of one of the gates (because we didn’t read the instructions thoroughly). Grant came over right away and helped us out. He gave us a tour of the property and was easy to communicate with throughout the trip. He truly made the experience better than we dreamed! The kitchen was complete with all the appliances, utensils, and cooking needs. There’s a washer/dryer, bikes, floaties, boogie boards in the garage for use. Tons of beach towels too! The location is perfect because it is right at the beginning of Diamond Head towards the end of Waikiki. Convenience is everything. You don’t need to sacrifice choosing a home with a pool or beach because this property has both. We couldn’t help but take sooooo many pics in the backyard because it felt like every hour was “golden hour”. Will definitely be booking this place again, cannot wait to return. Jessica I
