The house was well organized and stocked with everything needed for our comfort, especially appreciated the air conditioning in the bedrooms.   • Mar 23, 2024 We had a wonderful stay in a beautiful home in a great neighborhood within walking distance of Princeville center. The pool was perfect for 2-3 kids to play in. The covered back porch area was a great place to have breakfast every morning! Beautiful neighborhood but easy to get on the road for all of our day trips around the island. There were more amenities for the beach than expected as well as plenty of soap/ shampoo and conditioner. The team was easy to communicate with via text. Lindsay Rothering

The home was generously stocked with all the essentials that we needed to last our entire 11 day stay and beyond. The kitchen is amazing and I believe we only ate out once because I wasn’t going to stink up the house with fish! From a food processor, to crockpot, to baking tools and all the accessories you could need we were set! Even touches such as clothes drying racks to setup outside for swim suits and towels - they thought of everything. The few minor issues we had, Yen the property manager was immediately responsive and had them addressed and resolved promptly and then followed up later to make sure we were satisfied. I would say my only complaint is that the house had the dullest pair of scissors known on the planet :). That was quickly fixed with a trip to the grocery store up the street!   • Aug 30, 2023 Great house for our family, 3 couples and a 2-yr old for a week. Nice big well-equipped kitchen, handle lots of cooks at once. Plenty of space for us to spread out. A/C in bedrooms was perfect, great for sleeping. Pool got used every day, not very big but big enough to be very refreshing after touring/beaching. A PacknPlay and booster seat were welcome bonuses. Super location, short walk to "downtown" Princeville (food market, shops, restaurant/bar, playground). Even walkable to Queens Bath and Hideaway Beach (both fabulous! well worth the short, perhaps tricky hike for some), as was necessary due to very limited parking. Tons of beach gear - chairs, coolers, towels, snorkel gear, boogie board. Very responsive hosts, via email and texting, generously provided an early checkin, and late checkout for one family with a late departing flight. A tip: Ke'e Beach now requires reservations for both access and parking. We had to miss it. Book (up to 30 days) well in advance! John Henel

King beds were super comfy, the kitchen was well stocked (appliances, plates, glasses, everything we needed), all kinds of beach gear, big showers and lux bath products. Our host accommodate an early check in which was much appreciated. The house was in a great location near Foodland, wonderful beaches, and a Saturday farmers market. Our kids loved swimming in the pool and we ate a lot of meals on the patio. We also really enjoyed the yard, it was so lush and well maintained. Instructions for check in and check out were easy to follow. All in all a wonderful experience and we would love to stay at this home again. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to others.   • Jun 08, 2023 Home delivered just as described from ad and pictures. 7 adults from 50 to 88. Very happy to have the beach chairs, snorkel gear, and coolers to use. The pretty stone flooring in the house (that others have mentioned) didn't really bother us. Walking path next to house was convenient to Princeville shopping center with restaurants, gifts, and groceries. I thought the road noise (on the other side of the path and park) was a little loud, but most of our group wasn't bothered. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the house and Kawaii. Adam Williams
  • Mar 22, 2023 This place was fantastic. We had a group of 5 adults, 4 children and the house was absolutely perfect for us! It's beautiful inside and out. The pool was great for the kids! Prinveville plaza is about a 4 minute walk. We did it with the kiddos almost every day, no problem. There's also an awesome park right along the side of the house, with an awesome playground for the kids. Even had lots of exercise equipment for the adults too! There is also a trail that leads to a secluded beach right by the stop sign. It's definitely a long walk, and I highly recommend not doing it with the little ones, or when it's raining. The trail does get slippery. The house is an easy 10 minute drive to Hanalei Bay. It was actually perfectly located, we weren't more than 20 minutes away from anything we wanted to do. The AC in the bedrooms was a great bonus! The rest of the house doesnt have AC, but there are 2 ceiling fans that work great, so the heat didn't bother us. This house was worth every penny!   • Jan 20, 2023 If you are looking for a great home to spend with your family in Princeville then this is the place. Had everything you needed and more. Space was ideal for our family traveling with a baby. Yen, the property contact was awesome. Very accommodating when needed. The management company also offered concierge services to add to the experience. Pool was a great addition although didn't really get to use it much. Nice overall quiet location. Next to a park that offered a Saturday Farmers Market. Only drawback, downstairs flooring is a polished flagstone that made it very rough on the feet and concerning for an infant crawling. Although the baby didn't seem to mind much but we did, tender feet. 😉 However, overall we had a great time. We would stay there again. CYNTHIA RUIZ

Nestled into a picturesque tropical setting where garden and mountain views abound, Pohaku Villa has stylish decor with unique living areas. Earthy flagstone tile, vaulted wood beam ceilings, and warm neutral tones grace the living room. Plentiful windows reveal the beauty of indigenous foliage. Unwind on the living room sectional or stroll outside to the covered wrap-around lanai and take in the splendor of the outdoors.
The gorgeous, well-equipped kitchen at Pohaku Villa makes meal preparation a delight. Whether you're inspired to cook a gourmet feast or bring in takeout, you'll find everything you need. Enjoy your meals in the adjoining dining area or al fresco on the covered lanai.

Pohaku Villa has four comfortably appointed bedrooms — three upstairs and one downstairs — perfectly furnished for peaceful nights of sleep. All four bedrooms offer air conditioning, ceiling fans, televisions, and lots of windows. The primary bedroom is upstairs and features an en suite bathroom, a California king bed with Intellibed mattress, and a private lanai. The upstairs kids' room has three twin beds and a futon couch/bed. The upstairs guest room shares a hallway bath with the kids' room and features a California king luxury Stearns & Foster mattress. The downstairs guest bedroom also has a California king luxury Stearns & Foster mattress and an armchair.

Please see our photos, which include plans for the brand-new private pool and tropical landscaping at Pohaku Villa. You'll also find an open-air shower, an abundance of outdoor seating, a gas grill, and an expansive yard with fruit trees. Be sure to check the avocado, orange, and Meyer lemon trees to see if any fruit is ripe! When you're ready for a trip to the beach, Pohaku Villa is furnished with beach chairs, umbrellas, and a cooler. When you return, the lanai will provide a soothing place to rest.

As a bonus, Pohaku Villa has a classic video arcade game with hundreds of vintage games to try. Two full-size washers and dryers are also provided for your convenience. Pohaku Villa has an oversized driveway and a two-car attached garage. An electric-lock front door creates additional convenience during your stay.

There's plenty to see and do in and around this north shore Kauai vacation rental home. Pohaku Villa is located in Princeville next to a large open area with a park, and within walking distance of shopping and dining, hula performances, lei making, and live entertainment nightly at Princeville Center. Nearby, you can also take the garden walk and chocolate tour at Princeville Botanical Gardens, kayak on the Wailua River, or try a horseback riding excursion at Princeville Ranch. No matter how you and your guests spend your time, you'll love the comfort and location of Pohaku Villa.

Please note that a mandatory mid-stay cleaning fee of $400 applies to all stays of 10 days or longer.

This property does NOT have air conditioning in the living room or dining room. AC split systems are only in the bedrooms. Garage is NOT available. Parking is available on the driveway only.

This property has surveillance cameras pointing to the exterior of the home for security purposes.

Please be advised that pool heat is NOT included in the rental rate. If you are interested in heating the pool, kindly contact us for more details regarding our pool heat policy. Also note that not all pools on Kauai have the option for heating. Please do NOT assume that pools are automatically heated for guests. Pool heat requests are subject to an additional daily charge and must be requested two weeks prior to arrival.

Please note, mandatory mid-stay cleaning is required for stays of 10+ nights. For stays of over 21 nights, two mid-stay cleanings are required. Any mandatory mid-stay cleaning charges will be included in your reservation quote based on your length of stay. Please contact management for more information if needed.

Note About Seasonal Gnats

We want to ensure guests are aware that during the winter months in Hawaii, gnats are naturally more prevalent due to the tropical climate. These tiny insects are attracted to light and are especially common in lush, green areas like ours. While we take every measure to maintain the property, their presence is a natural part of the environment and beyond our control.

To minimize their impact during your stay:

Keep doors and windows closed as much as possible.
Ensure screens are securely in place. Please note, however, that some gnats are so small they may get through even the finest mesh screens.

Mar 22, 2023 This place was fantastic. We had a group of 5 adults, 4 children and the house was absolutely perfect for us! It's beautiful inside and out. The pool was great for the kids! Prinveville plaza is about a 4 minute walk. We did it with the kiddos almost every day, no problem. There's also an awesome park right along the side of the house, with an awesome playground for the kids. Even had lots of exercise equipment for the adults too! There is also a trail that leads to a secluded beach right by the stop sign. It's definitely a long walk, and I highly recommend not doing it with the little ones, or when it's raining. The trail does get slippery. The house is an easy 10 minute drive to Hanalei Bay. It was actually perfectly located, we weren't more than 20 minutes away from anything we wanted to do. The AC in the bedrooms was a great bonus! The rest of the house doesnt have AC, but there are 2 ceiling fans that work great, so the heat didn't bother us. This house was worth every penny! Jan 20, 2023 If you are looking for a great home to spend with your family in Princeville then this is the place. Had everything you needed and more. Space was ideal for our family traveling with a baby. Yen, the property contact was awesome. Very accommodating when needed. The management company also offered concierge services to add to the experience. Pool was a great addition although didn't really get to use it much. Nice overall quiet location. Next to a park that offered a Saturday Farmers Market. Only drawback, downstairs flooring is a polished flagstone that made it very rough on the feet and concerning for an infant crawling. Although the baby didn't seem to mind much but we did, tender feet. 😉 However, overall we had a great time. We would stay there again. CYNTHIA RUIZ
