  • Aug 04, 2024 We absolutely LOVED this Villa and everything about our 6 night stay! The pictures do not do the view justice, it is truly breathtaking! Well laid out and furnished home. Fully stocked kitchen. We enjoyed the short and scenic walk to the Mauna Kea Beach Club each morning and to the tennis center and played 2 rounds of golf at the Westin. Without a doubt, splurge on the amenity package! If this vila ever went up for sale we would buy it we loved it that much! Only recommendation would be to put fans or even better a portable AC unit in twin bed room. Otherwise, that’s it. Mahalo 🏄🌴❤️ Karen Mathura
  • Jul 07, 2024 Paradise in Paradise! This home was absolutely wonderful! This was our first time on the big island and we were so happy we chose to stay here! It is about 30 minutes away from everything so be prepared for that. We hit Costco and the Grocery store after we landed and never needed anything else! You will drive to the beach, you can walk, there is a path but it’s steep, so just drive. We paid for the resort amenities and loved the beach access and gear that came with it. Going over to the Hapuna side of the resort was awesome, but we loved Mauna Kea beach, it wasn’t crowded at all due to the remodel. The snorkeling was awesome but there aren’t very many turtles but you will probably see Manta Rays. The restaurants we tried were ok but we found better food off property. We would 100% stay here again and if I won the lottery I would buy a place right here and never leave. Oh be prepared for the crazy number of light switches. MAHALO! Dan Lloyd

The views from the lanai were amazing, the house was stocked with everything we could possibly need, and it was in a great location that allowed us to easily access both the Mauna Kea and Westin Resorts. It can be a hot walk up the hill, but we enjoy that too. It comes with a parking pass if you don't want to walk. The views are spectacular with sunsets framed just right. Hope to come again!   • Jul 19, 2023 The size and location of this unit are unbeatable, with amazing ocean views. It is also great having such easy access to the Mauna Kea resort (for an extra fee) - you get the best of both worlds with both resort amenities and the conveniences of staying in a condo. We used the resort beach facilities and fitness center frequently during our stay, and were especially impressed by the tennis center. The Mauna Kea Villas complex is beautiful. The decor in the unit itself is a bit dated, but the online pictures are very accurate so you know exactly what to expect. For our family, the size & location of this unit worked great. Ann Miller

The graceful layout of this unit and captured the unobstructed view of the Waikoloa coast line and pacific ocean is a memory that will not be forgotten. SO Peaceful and tranquil we felt by being here. It was a perfect place to unwind adjacent to a world class resort. Owner's vintage Hawaiian touches, artwork, high quality bedding, and kitchen amenities provided suited all of our needs and more. We hope to enjoy this unit in the near future and look forward to leisurely strolling through the gorgeous landscaped pathway downhill to Kaunaoa beach. Mahalo. Michelle Wagner

  • May 26, 2023 Our family of 5 (kids are young adults) spent a week here - the home was spacious, well kept, and easy walking distance to the Mauna Kea Resort, its beach, gym, restaurants and golfing. Beautiful view of the ocean from the deck, sizable bedrooms with a well equipped kitchen. The use of a house for a larger family with the amenities of a resort (you do pay a $165/day resort fee - gym access, beach access, towel service at beach, snorkels and fins provided free of charge). Experience true island luxury in this ocean-view, air conditioned, three-bedroom villa on the Big Island's spectacular Kohala Coast. **Resort amenities are detailed below; please review the planned improvements, as this could impact availability.

The villa's expansive great room includes abundant comfortable seating and a large formal dining area, leading to a beautifully appointed, fully equipped, open-concept kitchen. Two of the spacious and inviting bedrooms feature king beds, while the third provides the flexibility of two twin beds. Amenities such as high-speed wireless internet, cable television, ceiling fans in all rooms, and an in-villa laundry room ensure guests have every convenience during their stay.

Spend your days lounging in sunshine or shade on the sprawling lanai. Take advantage of your barbecue grill and linger over an open-air meal with a breathtaking view of the brilliant blue Pacific. Swaying palm trees and other tropical landscaping also surround your Hawaiian home away from home.

Guests of this gorgeous villa on Hawaii Island's famed Kohala Coast will find the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel within walking distance and the Westin Hapuna Beach Resort just two miles away. Along with access to Mauna Kea Beach and Hapuna Beach, two of the Big Island's most magnificent stretches of sand, guests are able to enjoy the hotels' oceanfront pools, hot tubs, fitness centers, championship golf courses, and tennis courts for a daily resort fee. A stay at Villas at Mauna Kea 13 also entitles guests to resort charging privileges at many of the hotels' restaurants and shops. Snorkeling, stand-up paddling, hiking, manta ray dives, boat tours, horseback riding, coffee farm tours, and a variety of other vacation adventures also await nearby.

Other things to note:
1. There will be a mandatory mid-stay cleaning fee of $300 plus tax applies to all stays of 14 days or longer.
2. Guests wishing to receive charging privileges at the Mauna Kea and Westin Hapuna Beach Hotels (this includes access to both fitness centers, discounted golf and tennis, and reserved chairs and towels at both swimming pools and beaches) may pay an additional $150 per day (through Dec 31, 2022) and an additional $165 per day (Jan 1, 2023 and forward), per family through Mauna Kea Services.

**The Mauna Kea Resort has embarked on an ambitious improvement and renovation plan that impacts several areas of the resort, including but not limited to, the main tower, various restaurants, pools, golf courses and spa services. The renovations are expected to take place from April 2024 through the second quarter of next year (2025). For more information and updates on these renovations, please contact us.
