The home had absolutely everything you could think of and we always felt right at home. The hosts are incredibly proactive even when I was busy with work, I never had to reach out to get concise, clear instructions. I cannot recommend this home enough- the amenities, view, ALL OF IT!!! It was the perfect size for our group of ten, as everyone had their own private rooms. The beds were super comfortable and the pool and outdoor dining space was a daily highlight. The welcome bag was a nice added touch and we appreciated that there was an iron and many beach day amenities provided; coolers, umbrella, beach towels, chairs, and float. The only challenge we had was an inoperable dishwasher, which they promptly responded too, replaced and compensated us for the inconvenience. Hilary K

Two negatives: The driveway is very aggressive, but you get the hang of it quickly. The pool was too cold to swim in, but that is no one's fault. We had a wonderful time, but it was hard to leave. We did have a little struggle with having enough hot water at times but in hindsight we probably should’ve waited until evening to do laundry or run the dishwasher. Seemed like one or the other was always going! The recommendation for an SUV is legit, the driveway is definitely steep (but definitely doable!) Communication was excellent. thanks for everything!   • Nov 23, 2024 Blue Hawaii Loved our stay at Blue Hawaii in Kona! Amazing sunsets every night and the house was perfect for our group of 9 (5 adults and 4 kids). The only comment I have is that I think the beds in the room with 2 Queens are actually Full size beds. It was a little tight to have 2 adults in a bed in that room. The driveway is steep, but we had no issues with a Jeep Wrangler and a Ford Expedition clearing the driveway. Megan S.

  • Aug 30, 2024 This house was perfect for our group of 12 (6 adults, 6 kids). We had three families, so each family had their own full bathroom. The house is big and spacious. There was plenty of room for 12 of us to enjoy and yet not so big where we couldn’t keep our eye on the kids. The kitchen is spacious with lots of counter space, making it easy for several people to help with meals. The view from pool is amazing and a great place to watch the sunset. The pool itself is nice, and has lights so we could enjoy at night. The deepside is about 5.5-6’, so a little deep for young kids. A lot of reviews mention the steep driveway, and it’s true. It’s manageable though with the right vehicle. The garage/driveway will probably fit 4 cars. Our whole group agreed that we’d definitely stay there again. Brandon Nahale

  • Jul 15, 2024 We had an AMAZING trip to Hawaii and a wonderful stay at Blue Hawaii! Location: Ideal for the Kona area. It’s about 30min from the airport, less than 10min from Ali’i drive, 5min from Keauhou Shopping Center, and in a private community. The neighborhood was quiet, well kept and perfect for morning walks. My parents loved it! House: Gorgeous - Stunning! When we arrived, it was clean with all the amenities stocked for our stay. The kitchen was completely stocked with everything you need. Extremely helpful not needing to buy essential items. The bedrooms were perfect for our family of 10 people including 4 kids. Nice to have a full washer and dryer! Highlight of the house - the pool and amazing view! We watched the sunset as a family every day! Also a bonus was having all of the pool and beach toys too! Communication: Awesome! It was easy and straightforward with emails and text messages. Appreciated having simplified check in and check out instructions. The guard shack at the entrance was great upon arrival and as we entered and exited. The only thing to be mindful of - the drive way. It was communicated and transparent in all the reviews so we were well aware, but it was a bit tricky. We had two rental cars, a Ford Explorer and a Kia Van. The Explorer made it down without scrapping but had a hard time coming up the hill. The Van needed to be empty (including suitcases) with only the driver in order to make it over and could only park in the side driveway area. Kevin May

  • Dec 21, 2023 This was just perfect for our extended family - grandparents, two couples and children 6,8,10. The place was spotless and beautiful! Perfect base for seeing all the amazing things the island has to offer and a great spot for downtime. The pool was lovely. Communication with managers was quick and informative. Driveway was steep but not as bad as some of the reviews. Sunsets were beautiful. Kids loved the pool. Hot water was at a premium, so get up first to shower 😎 5 stars for this place. Would come back! The view is incredible and we really utilized the pool (it was occasionally chilly but heated up with the sun!). The only downside of this place was the extremely steep driveway, we did eventually figure out the best way to park but with a large SUV it was difficult. I’d recommend a smaller car that is lifted higher off the ground (like a wrangler). We had a suburban and it was a little challenging to get over the sidewalk. Otherwise everything was pristine and less than 10 minutes away from tons of local restaurants and hikes! Would love to stay here again Marisa DeSanto

  • Aug 24, 2023 Our family gathered together to celebrate my sisters 65th birthday. Our mother is from Oahu and so it made it special to celebrate it here in Kona Hawaii. The house was perfect which added to our Kona experience . Every room was clean, comfortable, full of additives for every necessity and the infinity pool and immaculate views was to die for. The sunset was one of the best I have ever witnessed from a vacation home. I would recommend this house to any family looking for the perfect vacation home. Shon Davis

Everyone had enough private space and there were plenty of spots in the house for everyone to gather and spend time together. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend having someone stay on the pullout couch with the living room just because its not a seperate space so if you’re staying with a big group and everyone is getting up at separate times it makes it tough. Very steep driveway inaccessible without large clearance SUV should be made clearer from the start. Would be nice if local gardeners used electric blowers instead of gas since they are working all around us every day of the week. Otherwise peaceful and safe community. Blue Hawaii by Gather is a thirty-two hundred square ft. property providing a great experience for family and friends. This expansive well-appointed home is perfect for a large group. Because of the size of this property, you have the space to entertain both inside and out. The expansive infinity edge pool - newly equipped with a solar heating system in May 2022 - makes for a comfortable and relaxing oasis surrounded by a barbecue, large seating area, chaise loungers, an outside eating area that seats twelve or more, and even a private area to relax with a book.

This home offers a beautiful view and cool breezes! The house is in an amazing location; it's just a ten to fifteen-minute or less drive to the well-known Magic Sands beach, the famous snorkeling spot Kahaluu beach, or the popular Coconut Grove marketplace in the heart of Kona. It is also within ½ mile of the Kona Golf Course and Country Club, rated one of the best golf clubs on the island. A quick 10-minute drive Southbound will take you to the untouched Captain Cook.

The house has a fully stocked gourmet kitchen with a gas cooktop stove, double oven, dishwasher, and everything you need to prepare a delicious meal. Off of the kitchen is a dining area that seats 8 chairs along the kitchen bar.

The spacious lanai has direct access from most of the rooms thru giant sliding glass panel picture windows. The lanai has an additional covered dining area for 10 and has loungers and sofas so that everyone can enjoy the spectacular sunsets or just relax by the pool. The outdoor bar refrigerator means no one even has to go inside for cold drinks. Two of the bedrooms even offer their own private walk-out entrance to the lanai.

The home includes three bedrooms, a bonus room with two twin beds that can be made into a king bed, and a media room with a queen bed. The bonus room and media room provide privacy accessed through their own separate doors and the media room provides direct access to the lanai. There are also three and a half bathrooms including a large primary suite. All three bedrooms have their own private ensuites. This configuration provides a total of 5 sleeping areas in addition to a hidden bed in the living room to accommodate extra guests. A pack-and-play sleeping playpen with mattress and bedding is also included as well as baby monitors with a range of up to a thousand feet.

The private pool area has an outdoor dining area, lounge chairs, a sectional sofa, and a very large gas BBQ grill. You can spend your days cooling off in the pool and your evenings floating under the stars.

Beach chairs, beach towels, snorkeling equipment, kid's life jackets, and pool toys are also included.

May 26, 2024 We had the BEST stay at the "Blue Hawaii". My first Girls' Trip with family & friends. There were twelve of us and the house was big enough for all; plenty of room inside and outside to relax and converse. The beds were comfortable for sleep; home was clean inside and outdoors. Waking up to the beautiful sunrise every morning with a cup of coffee/ tea and chilling by our private pool with chilled wine during the evening sunsets - God's paradise indeed. 5 plus stars rating for sure. Mar 10, 2024 A wonderful oasis. The place was very clean and tastefully decorated with all the amenities noted. Beautiful pool and patio. While the driveway was steep it was very manageable with our SUV. Excellent communications with host who was also able to arrange in home massages. We’d absolutely stay again! Susan Taylor

Dec 21, 2023 This was just perfect for our extended family - grandparents, two couples and children 6,8,10. The place was spotless and beautiful! Perfect base for seeing all the amazing things the island has to offer and a great spot for downtime. The pool was lovely. Communication with managers was quick and informative. Definitely recommend the SUV for the driveway (and good for other mountain/park driving.) Suzanne Lapi
Dec 09, 2023 House was perfect for our group. Elite host were wonderful leading up to trip with all information. House was clean and well stocked. Location was great. Driveway was steep but not as bad as some of the reviews. Sunsets were beautiful. Kids loved the pool. Hot water was at a premium, so get up first to shower 😎 5 stars for this place. Would come back! Nov 06, 2023 We loved staying here with a family of 6 - everyone has their own space and no one felt crowded. The view is incredible and we really utilized the pool (it was occasionally chilly but heated up with the sun!). The only downside of this place was the extremely steep driveway, we did eventually figure out the best way to park but with a large SUV it was difficult. I’d recommend a smaller car that is lifted higher off the ground (like a wrangler). We had a suburban and it was a little challenging to get over the sidewalk. Otherwise everything was pristine and less than 10 minutes away from tons of local restaurants and hikes! Would love to stay here again Marisa DeSanto

Sep 24, 2023 Great house, roomy and the view!! Only downside is that the pool water was still cold even though it said solar heated. Also had some roach issues in the kitchen. But otherwise it was a great stay. Had everything stocked up with essentials. Myra Mallick
Aug 24, 2023 Our family gathered together to celebrate my sisters 65th birthday. Our mother is from Oahu and so it made it special to celebrate it here in Kona Hawaii. The house was perfect which added to our Kona experience . Every room was clean, comfortable, full of additives for every necessity and the infinity pool and immaculate views was to die for. The sunset was one of the best I have ever witnessed from a vacation home. I would recommend this house to any family looking for the perfect vacation home. Shon Davis

Everyone had enough private space and there were plenty of spots in the house for everyone to gather and spend time together. The outdoor space and pool were incredible (views are even more beautiful than the photos) and large sliding glass doors provided great views to the outside and open air feel. Holly Caudill

Apr 24, 2023 The property was very nice and definitely had enough room for the amount of people that were staying with us. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend having someone stay on the pullout couch with the living room just because its not a seperate space so if you’re staying with a big group and everyone is getting up at separate times it makes it tough. The driveway is VERY steep, there was warning of that before checking in though. Stacey Benware

Jan 20, 2023 Great location and the spacious house worked well for our family. Pool could be warmer-advertised as heated but not really. Very steep driveway inaccessible without large clearance SUV should be made clearer from the start. Would be nice if local gardeners used electric blowers instead of gas since they are working all around us every day of the week. Otherwise peaceful and safe community. We would stay again but hope the pool can be warmed up. Thanks! Cindy Hubert
