Could be loud with all the street noise since we prefer the fresh air vs the air condition, but we knew what we would get. Would have liked a little more storage for our personal belongings. Kitchen and amenities were great. Parking garage was a little wonky with all the structural work going on, but we figured out how to navigate around it. Easy access in and out of building.   • Dec 28, 2024 The place was very nice with lots of extras at the location that weren't listed but were appreciated (beach towels, iron and ironing board). Finding the underground garage was a little confusing at first because of construction. Use the directions to the location that are sent by the host because google maps isn't very accurate. I'd suggest future guests bring some extra dishwasher and laundry soap "packets" because of the limited number of these provided by the facility. The location is right downtown so convenient to walk (though some street noise) and a view of the sunset over the water (winter). Camille H

So, there is no guest parking and no assigned parking contrary to the instructions. Other instructions that have changed due to the construction should also be updated. Michael L

Everything we needed for 1st day stay available in unit. Wrap around lanai and water view in distance wonderful. Building communication and upkeep expectations met. Only about a block walk to downtown which has free bus service up and down the coast. Could really get away without even needing a car if you just took a taxi or Uber from the airport. The patio is huge and wraps around so you can also see the mountains. The furniture / beds / sofa / patio set were all very nice, as was the washer / dryer and bathrooms. The patio is a bit noisy, but that is what you trade off for being right in the middle of town and can walk everywhere. Loved the place and will definitely be back! Claudia H

Spacious and beautifully decorated, with EVERY possible amenity thoughtfully provided - from sunscreen lotions, snorkle masks and coolers, to a generous supply of bath and beach towels, dish and clothes washer soaps, and a kitchen very well stocked with cooking supplies. Newer appliances all in great condition. The air conditioning was so comfortable to come "home" too after warm days in the sun. We could tell the cleaning crew used is top-notch - we didn't even feel a spec of sand beneath our feet when walking barefoot across the cool tiled floors (and we also cared well for the property and avoided tracking sand into the unit), and all counters and surfaces free of any grime. Comfortable beds, lots of storage space, great living room layout for socializing. And the deck-balcony - whoa! HUGE, wrap around with access from both the living room and the master bedroom. We enjoyed meals outside on the covered balcony (shelter from the sun and occasional shower), watching the passerbuys on the quaint shopping street and a bonus was the nice view of the water as well.   • Jan 21, 2024 Our Kona Plaza condo was ready when promised, in immaculate condition, with all the listed amenities and more, including several complete snorkel outfits. The neighborhood is busy, with some pedestrian and traffic noise, but the partial view of Kailua Bay and the open ocean (with Green Flash sunsets!) more than made up for the daily bustle. Besides, people-watching is one of the joys of a leisurely vacation. The kitchen was more than adequate for our needs, and we prepared several gourmet meals once we got the range figured out. The other condo residents, both temporary and permanent, were quite friendly and informative about their community. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this location and manager to anyone desiring an active, comfortable stay in Kona. Robert A

Walk down stairs to an espresso shop each morning it’s literally directly under the complex. Walk to restaurant and bars. Not a hike of a walk, picture at most 3-5 minutes of total walking. Farmers market is a block down the road. The home has two massive double size sliding glass doors that pull apart and open the entire front wall facing the downtown strip and ocean. Car is kept totally secure in a gated underground parking with an elevator that goes from your floor directly down to the underground parking. Brian P

Very central location for all the different beaches we wanted to go to. The only drawback was all the noise from the street in the early morning. Jun 15, 2024 We stayed here in June of 24’ and loved the location. It’s located right off of the main beach street where all the shops and restaurants are located. It’s also only a few minutes walk, from a farmers market where you can buy fresh fruit and local crafts! Logan M

Jun 05, 2024 I have stayed in this building before, a different condo, and I can say this one was a great surprise, it was large and had an open concept living / kitchen area. The patio is huge and wraps around so you can also see the mountains. The furniture / beds / sofa / patio set were all very nice, as was the washer / dryer and bathrooms. The patio is a bit noisy, but that is what you trade off for being right in the middle of town and can walk everywhere. Loved the place and will definitely be back! Claudia H

May 19, 2024 We have stayed at other nice properties in this building during prior visits to the Big Island, but will now ALWAYS book this specific unit! Spacious and beautifully decorated, with EVERY possible amenity thoughtfully provided - from sunscreen lotions, snorkle masks and coolers, to a generous supply of bath and beach towels, dish and clothes washer soaps, and a kitchen very well stocked with cooking supplies. Newer appliances all in great condition. The air conditioning was so comfortable to come "home" too after warm days in the sun. We could tell the cleaning crew used is top-notch - we didn't even feel a spec of sand beneath our feet when walking barefoot across the cool tiled floors (and we also cared well for the property and avoided tracking sand into the unit), and all counters and surfaces free of any grime. Comfortable beds, lots of storage space, great living room layout for socializing. And the deck-balcony - whoa! HUGE, wrap around with access from both the living room and the master bedroom. We enjoyed meals outside on the covered balcony (shelter from the sun and occasional shower), watching the passerbuys on the quaint shopping street and a bonus was the nice view of the water as well. Overall, the best stay we have had on our travels to the Islands! Thank you! Annette V

Mar 15, 2024 We loved staying here. Every thing was short walking distance in town. Outside of town 90 minutes got you to everything you want to see from green beach to very top of Mauna Kea. Plan on returning next year and other than a few days in Hilo hope to return to this condo! robert M

Feb 05, 2024 Great location . You could walk to Kailua bay, restaurants a plenty and tons of shopping. Condo had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. We used the beach chairs and umbrella. Lanai was a great place to sit and relax and people watch. Totally enjoyed our stay! Julie K
Jan 21, 2024 Our Kona Plaza condo was ready when promised, in immaculate condition, with all the listed amenities and more, including several complete snorkel outfits. The neighborhood is busy, with some pedestrian and traffic noise, but the partial view of Kailua Bay and the open ocean (with Green Flash sunsets!) more than made up for the daily bustle. Besides, people-watching is one of the joys of a leisurely vacation. The kitchen was more than adequate for our needs, and we prepared several gourmet meals once we got the range figured out. The other condo residents, both temporary and permanent, were quite friendly and informative about their community. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this location and manager to anyone desiring an active, comfortable stay in Kona. Robert A

Sep 27, 2023 Absolutely perfect location. If you’re not familar with Kona this place is directly downtown. Walk down stairs to an espresso shop each morning it’s literally directly under the complex. Walk to restaurant and bars. Not a hike of a walk, picture at most 3-5 minutes of total walking. Farmers market is a block down the road. The home has two massive double size sliding glass doors that pull apart and open the entire front wall facing the downtown strip and ocean. Car is kept totally secure in a gated underground parking with an elevator that goes from your floor directly down to the underground parking. Brian P

Jun 14, 2023 The property was exactly as advertised! Very clean and spacious. The location is fantastic. We were able to walk to beach and nearby restaurants daily. The only issue is more toilet paper would have been nice. There were 5 of us, and we stayed 6 nights we ran through the 4 rolls left and had to buy more. Helena B

May 15, 2023 This place is just what we needed for the Hilo side of the island. A couple restaurants within walking distance and a short drive to Volcanoes National Park. The place was very clean and had a wonderful view. As others have mentioned the numbers on the stove have worn off but otherwise a very nice place. Felt safe, well lit, and experienced no issues during our stay. Amanda F
Mar 16, 2023 This was such a great location! The parking garage walks right in to the middle of shopping/restaurants. Walmart and Safeway are just a couple blocks away. Very central location for all the different beaches we wanted to go to. The only drawback was all the noise from the street in the early morning. Starting by 5:00 am, VERY loud delivery and garbage trucks. Woke us up every morning. So glad we chose this location! Jessica B
