  • Mar 03, 2023 Location, location, location. This place is perfectly situated in Kailua-Kona within walking distance to dozens of shops and more than enough restaurants. If you're looking for a full tourist experience in Kona, this place is an excellent home base for a couple. There is no A/C which is fine, but in order to keep the place cool and to enjoy the ocean breeze you must keep the sliding glass doors open and ideally the front door too (the screen door has a lock). The breeze is amazing and listening to the waves is great. The only drawback is that it is LOUD. You're located directly above a relatively busy street that has cars, cruising motorcycles, and tons of pedestrians walking at most hours of the day. The noise between the waves, the wind, and all of the road noise down below and occasionally some people walking that have had many drinks, it can get loud and occasionally disrupt a light sleepers. Kona Alii 304 offers the perfect combination of style, comfort, and convenience. The neutrally-toned living room is furnished with a queen sleeper sofa, flatscreen TV, and a ceiling fan. A large sliding glass door provides fresh ocean air as well as prime views of the Pacific. Relax on the couch, watch your favorite movie, or stroll a few steps out of the large covered lanai. With seating for four, the lanai is the perfect locale for enjoying coffee, and cocktails, or for watching the majestic whales in their natural ocean habitat. A reading nook just off the living room is an ideal space to peruse your favorite magazine or read a book.

The kitchen at Kona Alii 304 is outfitted with all large appliances, a variety of small ones, as well as all culinary essentials needed to create a savory gourmet meal. The dining room is situated just outside the kitchen and provides seating for four and the perfect ambiance for enjoying dinner with family and friends.

When you're ready for a restful night of sleep, look no further than the king-size bed. A small window above the bed lets in the fresh ocean air and just the right amount of light. The ensuite bathroom is furnished with fluffy cotton towels and a tub/shower combination The second bathroom has a step-in shower and lots of drawers for ample storage. Entry to the reading nook from the guest bathroom adds a cozy touch.

There's plenty to do outdoors at Kona Alii 304. Take a refreshing swim in the pool, grill your favorite fish or veggies in the barbecue area, or lounge poolside while visiting with friends. The complex also has a dedicated parking stall and elevator for easy access. Located within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and sightseeing, there's no shortage of fun and adventure to be experienced.

Conveniently located in the heart of town, Kona Alii 304 is within walking distance to Kailua-Kona Pier, shopping, and restaurants, including Don the Beachcomber, Splashers Grill, the Fish Hopper, and many more. You'll love exploring the area and its many significant Hawaiian cultural landmarks. Both the Hulihee Palace and the Mokuaikaua Church are located on Ali'i Drive. King Kamehameha I spent his last years living near the current site of what is now the King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel, until his passing in 1819. The Ahu'ena Heiau, located on the grounds of the hotel, is a reconstructed temple rebuilt by the late king and is on the register of National Historic Landmarks.

People and cruise ships watch from the Kailua-Kona Pier, where you'll have access to Hawaii's best scuba diving, big-game fishing, kayaking, and dolphin and whale watching.
