May 24, 2023 We had a lovely stay. Loved the central AC and fan, the two bathrooms, and waking up to the sound of the ocean. The only thing I didn't love was the feeling of the floor tiles, I know the floor was probably cleaned but the texture of the tiles made it feel like it wasn't so. However, it didn't negatively impact our stay. Also, was concerned about pests in the Big Island, but we didn't see a single pest. So overall, we enjoyed our stay! Suelee Cheong

The eat-in kitchen at Kona Alii 201 has been beautifully upgraded with new appliances, granite countertops, and zebrawood cabinetry.
Furnished with all large and small appliances as well as a variety of culinary essentials, you'll find everything you need to prepare your favorite meal or snack. The spacious living areas at Kona Alii 201 are decorated with festive island-themed furniture, a queen-size sleeper sofa, indoor dining for four, and a wall-mounted flatscreen TV. Watch your favorite movie, connect with family and friends or enjoy the ocean view right from the sofa. The spacious covered lanai has beautiful ocean views where you can enjoy a cocktail or dinner while watching the sunset.
There's plenty to do outdoors at Kona Alii 201. Take a refreshing swim in the pool, grill your favorite fish or veggies in the barbecue area or lounge poolside while visiting with friends. The complex also has a dedicated parking stall and an elevator for easy access. Located within walking distance to restaurants, shops, and sightseeing, there's no shortage of fun and adventure to be experienced.
Conveniently located in the heart of town, Kona Alii 201 is within walking distance to the Kailua-Kona Pier, shopping and restaurants, including Don the Beachcomber, Splashers Grill, the Fish Hopper and many more. You'll love exploring the area and its many significant Hawaiian cultural landmarks. Both the Hulihee Palace and the Mokuaikaua Church are located on Ali'i Drive. King Kamehameha I spent his last years living near the current site of what is now the King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel, until his passing in 1819. The Ahu'ena Heiau, located on the grounds of the hotel, is a reconstructed temple rebuilt by the late king and is on the register of National Historic Landmarks.
People and cruise ship watch from the Kailua-Kona Pier, where you'll have access to Hawaii's best scuba diving, big-game fishing, kayaking, and dolphin and whale watching. Visit the famous farmers market. Enjoy a shave ice or a cup of Kona coffee.
